The following is an article on the topic MY DREAMS OF THE NEXT MILLENNIUM. Please check it for me and give me marks out of 10. I will be very obliged if you give me a little time and check it. My Dreams of the next Millennium By Saurabh. Recently we have had many technological advancements. We have seen so many inventions. Development is going way farther than we ever expected. But I wonder what will we have achieved by the next millennium. Of course there are still many things left to be discovered. But by this time we may have achieved and corrected our flaws that exist today. Pollution will ne finally done with. Hunger and water scarcity will not even be a question as we produce them more effectively. Corruption will be over with as new leaders will emerge, more loyal and patriotic than ever. Poverty would be eradicated and no one would have to commit any crime. There would be no such things as terrorists. But even more than that, in technology we would have found the many unanswered questions of the space. We would able to go out of our solar system. We would have probably met the aliens. A time will have come where people would think of themselves as human beings first, then maybe in religion. Surely it is a lot to ask for. And it might be that to achieve all things, more time would be required. But all we can have is Hope and Faith. Because things will. So we should brace ourselves for the future to come. Please give me marks and tell me my mistakes. Thank you.

Undoubtedly, Griffin’s unbridled ambition drove him to the verge of disaster from where he easily tipped over and fell into the chasm of disaster. Unquestionably, he was a great scientist; but he was not a good human being. If he had guided his ambition through morality, he would have avoided a tragic end. Griffin had no conscience; he was callous towards other people and simply self-centered. He appeared to be at war with the entire mankind. All his actions stemmed from his desire to save himself, with not a thought about the pain he inflicted on others. That some traits were inborn can be seen in how he hid his work from his own professor, lest he or anyone else claimed the credit from it. When he was short of money he continued his experiments, without any thoughts of the consequences, he robed his own father, who committed suicide because the money was not his. He attended his father’s funeral without feeling sorry for his own act; instead he blamed his father for being a sentimental fool. He experimented on a cat, with no concern for the poor creature’s cries of pain. He threw it out and never tried to find whether it was alive or dead. He burnt down the house at Great Portland Street when the landlord and his sons found about his experiments and were horrified. He was only worried about covering his trail. Undoubtedly, Griffin’s unbridled ambition drove him to the
verge of disaster from where he easily tipped over and fell into the chasm of
disaster. Unquestionably, he was a great scientist; but he was not a good human
being. If he had guided his ambition through morality, he would have avoided a
tragic end.

Griffin had no conscience; he was callous towards other
people and simply self-centered. He appeared to be at war with the entire
mankind. All his actions stemmed from his desire to save himself, with not a
thought about the pain he inflicted on others. That some traits were inborn can
be seen in how he hid his work from his own professor, lest he or anyone else
claimed the credit from it. When he was short of money he continued his
experiments, without any thoughts of the consequences, he robed his own father,
who committed suicide because the money was not his. He attended his father’s
funeral without feeling sorry for his own act; instead he blamed his father for
being a sentimental fool. He experimented on a cat, with no concern for the
poor creature’s cries of pain. He threw it out and never tried to find whether
it was alive or dead. He burnt down the house at Great Portland Street when the
landlord and his sons found about his experiments and were horrified. He was
only worried about covering his trail.

After becoming invisible he committed one brutal act after
another, not because they were necessary for his survival, but simply because
he enjoyed doing them. The way he looted his owner of a small costume shop, and
left after striking the old man on his head, spoke volumes about his
inhumanity. He terrorized Marvel when he was on the run, fought with the
policemen. His plan to spread reign of terror among people using his powers of
invisibility really shocked Dr. Kemp. He even tried to kill him for betraying
him. In his final run from the people hunting him, he killed an old man with a
rod because he bumped into him.

All the above mentioned incidents prove Griffin’s unbridled
ambition led him to self-perdition.

Mrs Hall is one of the owners of an inn called Coach and Horses. When she is introduced to the audience for the first time, she is portrayed as an opportunist with lust for money. This is seen from the fact that she ignores Griffin’s rudeness and gives him a room just because he is ready to pay her. The craze for money did not make her verify the stranger’s identity although she has her own doubts about him. She is also portrayed as a dominating and firm woman. This is indicated by the way she bosses over her husband and stops serving Griffin when his rudeness crosses the limit. At times, Mrs Hall tends to become superstitious and thinks that her furniture is haunted until she knows that it is the invisible Griffin sitting on it. She also gets scared when Griffin removes his bandages and exposes himself. Thus, Mrs Hall is portrayed as a woman with various personalities. Mr. Huxter was a general dealer from over the road. He took immense pleasure in poking his nose in others’ affairs. He was one of the key witnesses who witnessed the melodrama that happened at Iping during the fair on Whit Monday in chapter ten of the novel. He had seen a stranger (Thomas Marvel) behaving suspiciously near Coach and Horses. As the suspicious stranger disappeared into the yard, Mr. Huxter, believing him to be a thief leapt round his counter and ran out into the road to catch him. As he did so, Mr. Marvel reappeared with a big bundle in a blue table-cloth in one hand, and three books tied together. Seeing Mr. Huxter approaching threateningly towards him, Mr. Marvel began to run. This confirmed Mr. Huxter’s suspicion. Bawling ‘Stop thief’, he also began running after him. He had hardly gone ten strides before his shin was caught in some mysterious fashion, and he was no longer running, but flying with through the air. Soon he found himself sprawling prostrate on the ground.  He had been hit hard by Griffin who was assisting Marvel to escape with his books.

The theme of invisible man is "science is a good master but a bad evil ",because his invisibility is areason of his death but if he use his formula of invisibility for a betterment of society or world ,today science technology enhanced more and more

Abhishek Nayal 6 years, 10 months ago

Firstly, the novel presents a theme of isolation through the chararcter of Griffin, the invisible man. The Invisisble Man is a person with no friends, no family and just no one at all. He is isolated from the larger community. His formula of invisibility brings him in conflict with the community in Iping and intelligent people in London. Second, H.G. Wells deals with the theme of betrayal in this novel. Griffin is in need of money in order to perform experiments on his formula of invisibility. He does not steal money from his father just to be mean but because he cares more about his scientific experiments than anything else. The stealth may be considered a betrayal. Apart from these themes, the theme of corruption in the absence of social laws is at the centre of this novel. Read more on Brainly.in - https://brainly.in/question/1107858#readmore
