The forces conspire to keep the workers in bangle industry of Firozabad in poverty are some Sahukars, middle man, policeman, bureaucrats and politicians. They all exploited the workers of Firozabad. Even after working so hard the bangle makers remain poor. All these form a vicious circle. If the bangle makers try to organise themselves into a cooperative, the police catch and beat them. They are put into jail on false charges of illegal acts. Poor bangle makers have been trapped in it for generations. Now they have come to accept it as something natural. Thus their life is full of obstacles which force them to lead a Life of poverty and deprivation.

Franz did not want to go to school that day as he had not prepared his lesson on participles. It seemed more exciting to him to stay outdoors as it was such a bright and warm day. The idea of staying outside the school fascinated him more as he had not done his home assignment.

The man narrated the story in context of people in India not having shoes in the past owing to poverty. The story that the man from Udipi narrated to the author is as follows: The man narrating the story said that when he was a young boy he used to go to school without shoes; on the way was a temple where his father was a priest. The boy would go to the temple and pray for shoes. Thirty years later he visited the same temple. There was a new priest and his boy wore shoes and socks. He felt the prayers he had made thirty years ago had been answered as after thirty years the boys had shoes to wear. However, still there were many poor children who could not afford shoes. That's he join y.m.c.a pool to learn .but he feared water because an incident was happened in author's life when he was three or four years old his father took him to the beach in California. His father and he stood together in the surf .the waves knocked his dowm and swept over him.he said that he buried in water .that's why he was frightened of water.when author went to y.m.ca pool then his unpleasant memories about fear of water rises.i hope this help u.

M.hamel was a french teaccher .he was love his language and passionate about it. He was a strict teacher but at last when the order has come from Berlin to teach only german in the school of Alsace and Lorraine then he was very polite and humble with franz .he said That french is the most logical ,beautiful and clearist language in the world.
