Gaurav Seth 5 years ago

Firozabad had not changed with time because the years of mind-numbing toil had killed all initiative and the ability to dream for a change. The cry of not having money to do anything except carry on the business of bangle making and not having enough to eat rang out in every home. The young men echoed the lament of their elders but little could change because they had lost the ability to hope for it. As a result, the place recorded no progress.

Krishna Yadav 6 years, 4 months ago

According to me the answer can be Poet refer here to fisherman and the man gathering salt because they are too much busy in their deeds that they had no time to introspect themselves ..to look at their hands (for man gathering Salt ) & to think about their work and future (for fisherman)

Physical education is not a big deal. It is the easiest subject among all, what you should do is attend the class properly and attentively . After that, remember the headings and points and in content of heading you can write whatever is taught in the class. Reading once during exams will suffice.

Causes of this is povertiness, his livelihood could not be happen, there is no proper school there for ragpickers.

Harsh Soni 6 years, 4 months ago

Saheb did not fo to school because he did not have enough bucks to pay for school fee. Fulling his stomach was his first priority. Saheb was a poor rag picker of Seemapuri who had migrated from Dhaka as storms swept away their home and fields. His complete name was "Saheb-e-Alam" meaning the lord of the universe. He used to do rag picking to earn his living. Later in the story, he got employed at a tea stall to earn money. His priority was to earn money to live not to get an education.

FULL SUMMARY ‘The Interview’ written by Christopher Sylvester briefs the new invention – interview in the field of journalism. Interview that was invented over 130 years have become a commonplace journalism. Today, every literate or illiterate will have to experience interview at some point of the daily life. However, opinions of interview- of its functions, methods and merits vary considerably. Some claim it as a source of truth and in its practice, an art. Others despise the interview as an ‘unwarranted intrusion into their lives’. They feel it diminishes them. Sylvester lists out well – known writers who are against interview – V.S. Naipaul, Lewis Carroll, Rudyard Kipling, H.G. Wells though he had interviewed many personalities. It is surprising to notice that as interviewer, each one is comfortable, whereas, as an interviewee, they feel it much disturbing and diminishing. Yet in the words of the writer, ‘it is a serviceable medium communication’. Part II is an extract from an interview of Umberto Eco, author of the popular novel,’ Name of the Rose’ by Mukund Padmanabhan from ‘The Hindu’ This interview helps us know many aspects of his writing style and ideas. Though he gives the impression of doing many things at a time, he says he is doing the same thing, pursuing his philosophical interests through his writings and his novels. Through his modest answers, he tells the secret of his success .He utilizes the interstices – empty spaces to his advantage. Umberto eco pan academician refers himself to be called an academician. He has written 40 philosophical writings and just 5 novels. When Mukund Padmanabhan asks the reason behind the huge success of ’The Name of the Rose’, he honestly replies that it is a mystery even to him. Perhaps the appropriateness of the time it was written could be the reason. He himself admits had the novel come 10 years later or earlier, the novel would not have got such success. As we go through this extract, we can easily note that Umberto Eco does not think, interview is a crime or an offence. He interacts properly and modestly.

Tiger king's and his employee (working under him?) conversation on 3rd page of the lesson 2nd paragraph....also create humour
Aman taiyar hai. Darshu

Ďãřşháñăã Yadav ? ? ? 6 years, 4 months ago

After killing the first tiger the King flaunts its dead body before the astrologer to show that he is more powerful than the tiger. However, the astrologer warns the king that he should be "careful with the hundredth tiger". The king chooses to prove the astrologer wrong once again and makes frantic efforts to kill hundred tigers. Thus, having shot at the old tiger, the Tiger king believes he has killed the hundredth tiger. But the reader as well as the king's officers and minions soon come to know that the emaciated tiger does not get killed but only has fainted. The king gets happy of killing the tiger but in actual ignorance of this ironical fate the prediction proves to be right and mere sliver on wooden tiger's body causes his dramatic death. Quite ironically the hundredth tiger kills the king instead and astrologer's predictions stand vindicate
