Saheb is the kid who used to work as rag picker in the story of The Rag picker which reflected on and talked of the lives of the rag-pickers, their hopes, constant struggle and un-fulfilled dreams.

Saheb after started working at the tea stall and stopped picking rags lost his lively spirit and free- attitude towards life. He became mundane and lost his happy tone for life and interest towards work.

Saheb was not at all happy with his new-work. He lost his care-free attitude and was no longer his own master and was not working independently or freely for himself. The work became a burden for him rather and he was forced to work on someone else’s instructions and tunes and the steel canister was heavier than the plastic bag he used to carry as rag-picker.

Respected Sir/Ma’am

English core will provide you the basic knowledge of the language as well as English literature while English elective is a more specialized subject, i.e. if chosen you'll have to study about English language and it's literature in-depth.

Franz’s dislike for his teacher M. Hamel is nine out of ten opinions formed about people initially and change gradually in many cases. But same is very little true in case of opinion of likes changing to dislikes. But in case of majority of the students of my school it happened so. One always has a room for second opinion.

Next day after the summer vacation at school, we got a new teacher of History. He almost regularly spoke on typical events in the assembly. Not only I but many others also developed liking for him. But the time was not far off when we were astonished to hear him always boast of himself and his family and a foreign land all the time.

Soon all were taken aback to hear him uttering filthy words and abusive language all the time, for anyone whosoever and on every matter whatsoever. We even overheard other teacher¹s talk about his uncultured habits and uncivilized behaviour most of the time. Such persons betray others from their path of goodness and themselves would never shun their hypocrisy.

I changed my first opinion about him and now dislike him like most others because such persons incur more harm to students community than any benefit of their teaching. But like the village people the old Hauser, the former Mayor, the former postmaster and others, can anyone expect us, to thank and respect such a person truly. Of course, not.

It becomes clear during the course of the story that Jo was no longer was a passive listener of her Daddy's stories. For instance, she corrected him when he mistakenly referred to Roger Skunk as Roger Fish. Also, she was starting to fuss with her hands when she thought the story was all over which wasn't liked by her father, he preferred his women to be hanging on to his every word. Towards the end of the story, Jo flatly refuses to accept the ending her father gave to the tale and vehemently insisted that her father be practical about the end of the story.
