Because human are Homeothermic. Human and bird are have constant temperature . Temperature can effect organism but they tolerate excess or narrow range temperature. That can tolerate narrow range of temperature which 3 degree to 5 degree cover then these are called sternothermal and that can tolerate wide range of temperature . Size proportional to 1/surface area , then these are called eurythermal.
