Components of an operon :
(i) Structural genes : - The fragment of DNA which transcribe mRNA for polypeptide synthesis.
(ii) Promoter : - The sequence of DNA where RNA polymerase binds and initiates transcription.
(iii) Operator : - The sequence of DNA adjacent to promoter is called OPERATER.
(iv) Regulator gene : - It is the gene that codes for repressor protein which binds to operator due to which operon is switched ‘‘off’’
(v) Inducer : - Lactose is inducer which helps in switching ‘‘on’’ of operon. Lac operon consists of there structural genes (z, y, a), operator (o), promoter (p), regulatory gene

Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER) is a complex network of tubular membranes present within the cytoplasm of the eukaryotic cell, transpiring either with a smooth surface and therefore called as the smooth endoplasmic reticulum or studded with ribosomes and hence called the rough endoplasmic reticulum which is involved in the transportation of materials. These membranes are continuous, joining with the outer membrane of the nuclear membrane. They occur in almost every type of eukaryotic cell except red blood cells and sperm cells.

Amoeba is considered immortal because it does not undergo natural death.
In single-celled organisms like Amoeba and bacteria the parental body itself divides into two parts and becomes daughter cells. Each of these divided cells rapidly grows into adult organisms. Therefore, the parent cannot be said to have died, it continues living as daughter cells.
