I do the part 2 of the account paper first and then head towards part 1. Do the questions as soon as possible and in end i have time for one big partnership sum and the shares around 30 mins.

Anshika Sundrani 6 years, 10 months ago

According to me as i was able to complete my preboard exams on time 1. You should attempt the second part in first 45 min. 2. Start the first part from question from shares it should not take more than 15-20 min. And continue from back itself. 3. If you are facing the problem in getting your b/s equal do not stop there leave it for the end (as you will not loose much marks on your ans.) 4. Most importantly be calm while doing calculations otherwise you would end up with silly mistakes. 5. Solve sample papers using stop watch and count how much time do you require for a question and try to reduce it next time. All the best :)

Horizontal analysis is used in financial statement analysis to compare historical data, such as ratios, or line items, over a number of accounting periods. Horizontal analysis can either use absolute comparisons or percentage comparisons, where the numbers in each succeeding period are expressed as a percentage of the amount in the baseline year, with the baseline amount being listed as 100%. This is also known as base-year analysis.
