The narrator went to the house of the lady who had kept many valuable items of her mother during the war days. The address of the lady helped her in searching out the house of the lady. But now she wanted to forget the address as after visiting the house of the lady she found how the belongings of her mother were kept in a strange manner. These had lost all their emotional value for the narrator. The narrator now lived in a small rented room. She had no place to keep all these things. The lady treated her very insolently. She even refused to recognise her. She did not let her come into the house. That was why she wanted to forget that address

The Canterville Ghost by Oscar Wilde is a short story . Like many works of literature, the story first appeared in a magazine, The Court and Society Review in February 1887. The Canterville Ghost is a story of contrast – American vs. British Society. When the story starts, the American minister, Mr Hiram B. Otis has purchased Canterville Chase, an English country house. Otis is warned by Lord Canterville that the house is haunted, but he doesn’t believe in ghosts. This is not a typical ghost story. I found it quite funny, laughing a lot while reading the book.

Virginia came out and meet her parents . She had s box of jewellery . She prayed to angel of death for canterville ghost. Ghost got what he wanted. Then Virginia married to Duke of chesire . After their honeymoon , they visited churchyard , Virginia showered flowers . Duke questioned her something but she said him to not ask that again .
