Word 'Ghat' in Hindi means 'bank' of a river; in the title of the chapter, it signifies the edge of life, where Shahid was struggling for life.Owing to his malignant tumour, he was about to leave this world and start a mysterious journey into the unknown world that existe after death. Since, the world 'Ghat' refers to the brink of our world, which is only world known to us, so the title is justify.

Mrs. Pearson was sure about mrs. Fitzgerald's advise and promised her that she will remain strict towards her family members as mrs.fitzgerald was .She also agreed on mrs.fitzgerald advise that if the family members comes to know about the truth then they will take all their revenge to mrs.pearson...so she should remain like that in order to not get the truth of their plan.........??

It was dark already when the author and Tsetan reached Darchen. They pulled up in a guest house and it turned out to be another troubled night. The author's blocked nostril had been causing much inconvenience. Though he tried to get accustomed to breathing by single nostril, it was not providing him with enough oxygen. Tired, he started breathing through mouth. There was some difficulty in his chest and received a sinus attack and so he sat up the night. The next day on visiting the local medical college, the author was a bit relieved. The medicines the doctor gave were helpful and that night he had a sound sleep.

Few days passed, the author was roaming the town. The life seemed mundane and no visitors or pilgrims were at the sight. The few rudimentary general stores were selling Chinese cigarettes, soap and other basic provisions and the prayer fags. Few gathered men played pool at a battered table while near by women washed their hair in the icy water. This all was not exactly what the author had expected. He was told that in the season of Korathere lot of pilgrims visiting. All this came as a significant drawback to the author. It seemed that he had arrived a bit too early. It all disappointed the author.

The title mother's day is apt according to the story because the whole story revolves around a mother who is treated just like a maid anyone in the house who wants some work to be done always went to her and she without any greed would always help yhem due to which unknowingly everyone started exploiting her but at one time she swap her soul with her neighbourhood friend who brought his house on the right track after which she (mrs. Pearson) was given a status of mother .and it was the day when the lady who was treated as a maid got the right status in her family
