Mr. Braun was speechless for a moment because he was amazed at Einstein's argument that one can look up facts in books, so there was no need to learn them. It left him speechless because Einstein was a student who believed in understanding facts and going deeper into the subjects. He was a student who was not merely interested in facts but rather questioned why and how of things. To hear such a statement from a boy who was a poor performer in class was overrated for him and something which left the teacher speechless for a moment.

The grandmother actually hated music. She was a old lady who was conservative and had her own beliefs and superstitions. She thought that music was only ment for prostitutes and beggars. It was not ment for gentle folk. Music was not ment for school children from respectable families.

The unprecedented growth of the world population has been one of the major driving factors behind the distortion of the future of human society. However, the writer says that fertility falls as incomes rise, education spreads and health improves thus, development if the best contraceptive in terms of population control. But development will not be possible if the population continues to increase at the present rate, the rich will get richer and poor will get poorer. He advocates for family planning through campaigns and outreach programmes rather than forceful sterilisation. The choice he says is between further plummeting into poverty and control of population.

Mr. Lester R. Brown has pointed out that there are four principal biological systems of the earth. They are fisheries, forests, grasslands and croplands. They are the foundation of the global economic system. They supply our food and provide raw materials for industry except minerals. But man’s demands on these systems are reaching an unsustainable level. Overfishing is very common. Local forests are disappearing to provide firewood and wood. The world is losing 40 to 50 million acres of forests a year. Similarly, grasslands and woodlands are being converted into deserts and wastelands.

Who was the real owner of the beautiful white horse? How did Aram come to know about him?
Ans. John Byro was the real owner of the white horse. He was a farmer. On a visit to Aram’s house he complained of his loss to uncle Khosrove. This assured Aram that the horse had been stolen by Mourad.
