Law of reciprocal proportion states that 'When definite mass of an element A combines with two other elements B and C to form two compounds and if B and C also combine to form a compound, their combining masses are in the same proportion or bear a simple ratio to the masses of B and C which combines with a constant mass of A'.

The standard atmosphere is a unit to measure pressure, which is in turn measured in Pascals.
i.e - 101325 Pa = 101.325 kPa.
Here, Pa stands for Pascal and kPa stands for kilopascal.

Cathode rays consist of negatively charged material particles called electrons. These rays deflect towards the positive plate of an electric field. The charge to mass (e/m) for the particles in the nature of the gas taken in the discharge tube.

While separating a mixture of ortho and para nitrophenols by steam distillation, o-nitrophenol will be steam volatile due to presence of intramolecular hydrogen bonds. In case of p-nitrophenol, intermolecular hydrogen bonding is present which results in strong association of molecules. Hence, p-nitrophenol is not steam volatile.

Stoichiometry is an important concept in chemistry that helps us use balanced chemical equations to calculate amounts of reactants and products. Here, we make use of ratios from the balanced equation. In general, all the reactions that take place are dependent on one main factor, how much substance is present.

Electron Photon
It is matter. It is energy.
It has mass. It has no mass.
It carries a negative charge. It doesn’t carry any charge.
The speed of an electron can be zero or anything under the speed of light. It is impossible for an electron to achieve the speed of light. Photon travels at the speed of light.

We know that, No. of moles =Total no. of molecules/Avogadro no. Therefore,no. of moles of nitric acid(HNO3)=2*10^23/6*10^23.=1/3 moles... (We have approximated 6.022*10^23 as 6*10^23 to solve the problem easily) Now,we know that no.of moles=given mass/molar mass Let x be the given mass of nitric acid. Molar mass of nitric acid=63 Substituting the values,we get, 1/3=x/63 Therefore,x=21g

Ans:4.4g Ca(OH)2 + CO2 gives CaCO3 + H2O From stoichiometry,we can understand that '1 mole of Ca(OH)2 (molar mass:74g)' reacts with '1 mole of CO2 (molar mass :44g)' to give '1 mole each of CaCO3 and H2O. (molar mass:100g and 18g respectively)' Or,44g of CO2 gives 100g of CaCO3. Hence,to precipitate 1g of CaCO3, 44/100g=0.44g of CO2 is required. (Unitary method) Therefore, 10g of CaCO3 is obtained from 0.44*10=4.4g of CO2...

A mixture is a combination of two or more substances (elements or compounds) which is not done chemically.
Mixtures are two types Homogeneous Mixtures and Heterogeneous mixtures.
Homogeneous Mixtures: A Homogeneous mixture has a uniform composition of its components throughout its mass. It does not have visible boundaries of separation between the various components. For example a sugar solution or a salt solution.
Heterogeneous Mixtures: A Heterogeneous mixtures does not have a uniform composition throughout its mass also it has visible boundaries of separation between various components. For example mixture of sand and water.

Eg of water:When Avogadro took 6.022*10^23 molecules of water,it weighed exactly 18g ie,the molecular mass of water. So avogadro number of any atoms/molecules/ions etc were called 1 mole and hence 18g of water=1 mole
