Let the mass of sodium sulphate required be 'x' g
The mass of water = 100 g
The mass of solution =(mass of sodium sulphate + mass of water) = (x + 100)g
Percentage of sodium sulphate in solution {tex}=\;\frac{Mass\;of\;sodium\;sulphate}{Mass\;of\;solution}\times100{/tex}
{tex}20=\frac{x}{x+100} \times 100{/tex}
20x + 2000 = 100x
80x = 2000
x = {tex}\frac{2000}{80}{/tex}
= 25 g
Therefore, the mass of sodium sulphate required is 25 g.
