Why do we have to use the s=ut+1/2 at^2 formula? The mathematically proven equations are as follows (1) First equation of Motion: V = u + at soln. Consider a body of mass “m” having initial velocity “u”.Let after time “t” its final velocity becomes “v” due to uniform acceleration “a”. Now we know that: Acceleration = change in velocity/Time taken => Acceleration = Final velocity-Initial velocity / time taken => a = v-u /t =>at = v-u or v = u + at This is the first equation of motion. (2) Second equation of motion: s = ut + 1/2 at^2 sol. Let the distance travelled by the body be “s”. We know that Distance = Average velocity X Time Also, Average velocity = (u+v)/2 .: Distance (t) = (u+v)/2 X t …….eq.(1) Again we know that: v = u + at substituting this value of “v” in eq.(2), we get s = (u+u+at)/2 x t =>s = (2u+at)/2 X t =>s = (2ut+at^2)/2 =>s = 2ut/2 + at^2/2 or s = ut +1/2 at^2 This is the 2nd equation of motion. Hope u got it.

For a collision occurring between object 1 and object 2 in an isolated system, the total momentum of the two objects before the collision is equal to the total momentum of the two objects after the collision. That is, the momentum lost by object 1 is equal to the momentum gained by object 2.

Yashi Choudhary 4 years, 1 month ago

Conservation of momentum, general law of physics according to which the quantity called momentum that characterizes motion never changes in an isolated collection of objects; that is, the total momentum of a system remains constant.

Let the mass of sodium sulphate required be 'x' g
The mass of water = 100 g
The mass of solution =(mass of sodium sulphate + mass of water) = (x + 100)g
Percentage of sodium sulphate in solution {tex}=\;\frac{Mass\;of\;sodium\;sulphate}{Mass\;of\;solution}\times100{/tex}
{tex}20=\frac{x}{x+100} \times 100{/tex}
20x + 2000 = 100x
80x = 2000
x = {tex}\frac{2000}{80}{/tex}
= 25 g
Therefore,  the mass of sodium sulphate required is 25 g.

To separate ammonium chloride and common salt we will use sublimation as Ammonium chloride can change directly into gas if heated because it is a sublime substance so in a beaker or any suitable utensil we will take them both and cover it and attach a rod to it so that the gaseous form of ammonium chloride can be taken separately so we will heat and ammonium chloride will change into gaseous form and will be transferred to another beaker thus they will be separated hope it helps thank you
