| Meaning | Such disease which occurs suddenly and last for a short period is called as acute disease. | Such disease which shows it's prolonged effects on human health. The condition is said to be chronic when the disease lasts for more than three months. Such disease can be life-threatening and majorly affect the immune system of the body and thus declines the health. |
| It Appears | Suddenly. | Gradually. |
| Time Span | It lasts for a short time, usually few days to the week. | It lasts for longer or lifetime also. |
| Effects | They do not cause long term or ill effects on human. | They may cause severe long term effects on human health, which may be life-threatening too. |
| Examples | Cold, burn, breaking of bone, typhoid, jaundice, cholera, burn, strep throat, etc. | Diabetes, arthritis, cancer, tuberculosis, heart disease, asthma attack, osteoporosis, etc. |

As per Newton's law, Force = mass × acceleration = m×a .....................(1)
where m is mass and a is acceleration
Gravitational force acting on a mass m on earth's surface = G (m×M)/R2 = m × GM/R2 ..........................(2)
where G is Gravitational force constant, M is mass of earth and R is radius of earth
By comparing (1) and (2), acceleration due to gravity = a = (G×M)/R2

A nucleus is often the largest organelle in a plant cell. It is enclosed by a double membrane called the nuclear envelope.
A phospholipid layer that covers a cell's surface and acts as a barrier between the inside of a cell and the cell's environment.

Work done by a body is against the applied force if the displacement is in a direction opposite to the force. In the case of gravity, if a body is lifted above the ground, work is done against gravity.
All bodies with mass are attracted towards the earth by gravity, so when a body is lifted one has to do work to raise it.
Work done against gravity = Force x Displacement = Weight x Height = mgh = gravitational potential energy stored in the body.

Kinetic energy of a body depends upon:
(i) K.E. of a body is directly proportional to its mass.
K.E. ∝ m.
(ii) K.E. of a body is directly proportional to the square of its velocity.
K.E. ∝ v

Lysosomes are cellular organelles that contain digestive enzymes that break down waste materials, foreign material and cellular debris. Lysosomes are capable of digesting nucleic acid, polysaccharides, fats, and proteins. Along with them lysosomes also digest or damage its own cells by its own enzymes, which lead to cell death. This process is called as autolysis. Hence lysosomes are also called as suicide bags

- Potential Energy of An Object At A Height:
Suppose a body of mass m is raised to a height h above the surface of the earth. The force acting on the body is the gravitational pull of the earth m x g which acts in the downward direction. To lift a body above the surface of the earth, we have to do work against this force of gravity.
Work done = Force x Distance
So, W = m x g x h
This work gets stored up in the body as potential energy.
Thus, potential energy = m x g x h
Where m is the mass of the body, g is acceleration due to gravity; h is the height of the body above the reference point.
