The conditions to hear an echo are
(i) The time interval between source sound and reflected sound must be atleast 0.1s.
(ii) The minimum distance between the obstacle and source of sound should be atleast 17.2 m.
Echo is a repetition of sound due to the reflection of original sound by a broad and hard obstacle.

The basic properties of sound are: pitch, loudness and tone

Pitch : The frequency of a sound wave is what your ear understands as pitch. A higher frequency sound has a higher pitch, and a lower frequency sound has a lower pitch.

Loudness: The amplitude of a sound wave determines its loudness or volume. A larger amplitude means a louder sound, and a smaller amplitude means a softer sound.

Protozoans are unicellular eukaryotic and heterotrophic organisms. Due to their motile nature and heterotrophic mode of nutrition they are considered relatives of animals. They are classified under Kingdom Protista as this kingdom includes all unicellular eukaryotic and heterotropic organisms whereas kingdom Animalia includes all multicellular eukaryotic and heterotrophic organisms.

  • The cells of meristematic tissue have the power of division, which mean these are the dividing tissues of the plant.
  • In meristematic tissues, the cells are highly active, have dense cytoplasm, large nucleus, thin cytoplasm and vacuole smaller in size or may be absent.
  • The new cells produced by meristematic cells are initially like meristem but later on maturation they differentiate into other tissues.

In a qualitative way, the tendency of undisturbed objects to stay at rest or to keep moving with the same velocity is called inertia.
Example 1:  We tend to remain at rest with respect to the seat until the driver applies a braking force to stop the motorcar due to the inertia of motion.
Example2:  The dust particles fly away from the blanket when we jerk it due to the inertia of rest.

Newton's Second Law  of motion states that the rate of change of momentum of an object is proportional to the applied unbalanced force in the direction of the force.
 F = ma

Where F is the force applied, m is the mass of the body, and a, the acceleration produced.

Akanksha Kumari? 7 years, 1 month ago

The rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to the applied force

Compounds which are produced by the combination of metals and non-metals contain charged species known as ions. A negatively charged ion is called an anion and a positively charged ion is known as a cation. Examples of ionic compounds are sodium chloride and calcium oxide. Atoms of different elements combine together in definite proportion to form molecules of compounds. Examples — ammonia, water and carbon dioxide.

The nitrogen in the water is reduced due to the exessive growth of algae as a result of extra loading of nutrients it is called eutrophication

Yogita Ingle 7 years, 1 month ago

  • The presence of excessive nutrients in the lake due to agriculture run -off from the land, cause the growth of plant life in water body. Fertilizers contain phosphates that increase algae growth in water.
  • Algae cover the surface of water, blocking sunlight and depleting oxygen in the water.
  • The reduction of oxygen concentration in water causes the death of many aquatic organisms.
  • This process of rapid plant growth in water and the depletion of oxygen causing the death of animals results in a disfunctioning ecosystem, called eutrophication.

A mole of a defined substance is defined as the mass of that substance containing the same number of fundamental units just like atoms in 12.0 g of 12C. These fundamental units can be atoms, molecules, or formula units based on the substance. It represents the number of chemical elements.One mole of any substance is equal to the Avogadro number whose value is 6.023 x 1023. It can be used to measure the products in a chemical reaction. The unit is defined denoted by mol.

The number of moles formula is given by

number of moles = mass of substance/ mass of one mole

as u=0

v=at

v=30 m/s=30 x60=1800 m/min

so a=v/t

=1800/30=60 m/min sqr

Yogita Ingle 7 years, 1 month ago

Given :
Initial Velocity = u = 0m/s
Final velocity= V= 30 km/h
Time = 30 min =1/2 h
acceleration=a=?
As we know that , a=v-u/t
⇒a=30 - 0/1/2
=30×   2
= 60 km/h²
