Isotonic Solution:- If the medium has exactly the same water concentration as the cell, there will be no net movement of water across the cell membrane. Such a solution is known as an isotonic solution. The water flow in this type of solution is zero. Hypotonic solution:- A hypotonic solution that has a lower solute concentration in comparison to another solution. The cell will also have a higher osmotic pressure the tendency for water to move into a cell by osmosis than the solution surrounding it. This will cause fluid to move into the cell and the cell often appears bloated. Hypertonic solution:- A hypertonic solution is a particular type of solution that has a greater concentration of solutes on the outside of a cell when compared with the inside of a cell.

Lysosomes serve as the intracellular digestive system. They also remove worn out and poorly working cellular organelles by digesting them to make way for their new replacements. Since they remove cell debris, they are called scavengers of the cells.

Meena Kumari 2 years, 1 month ago

In simple sentence , we can say that lysosomes have digestive enzymes .When lysosomes burst the digestive enzymes digest their own cell. So, Lysosomes are also called as cellular scavengers.

Adarsh Patel 2 years, 1 month ago

Lysosomes are phagocytic (engulf or say destroy the damaged cell organelles) so we can call them cellular scavengers
