Thomson proposed in jis model that an atom is a large positively charged sphere in which negatively charged particles are embedded. He also said that the positive and negative charge are equal and hence they cancel out each other. Its other name is plum pudding model. This is because it resembled a christmar pudding where the negatively charged particles( currants) are embedded in the positively charged part.

u=25 m/s

v = 0

t=5 s

m =180 kg

p1  =mu = 180 x 25

             =4500 kg m/s

p2 = mv = 180 x 0 = 0 kgm/s

          p1 - p2 = 0 - 4500

                      = -4500 kgm/s

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 8 months ago

Compound 'X' has valency 3 and 'O' has valency 2 . L.C.M of 3 & 2 is 6 .
For X = 3 * 2 = 6
For O = 2 * 3 = 6
Therefore {tex} X_{2}O_{3} {/tex} is the formula of oxide of 'X'

The force which always opposes the motion of one body over another body is called frictional force or friction.

The force of friction acts in a direction opposite to the direction in which an object moves. Place a book on the table and gently push it towards right side. It moves through some distance to the right side and then stops on its own. This means that the force of friction is acting on it in the opposite direction (towards left) which is opposing its motion. Similarly, if we push the book towards left side, it will move towards left side but the force of friction acts towards right side which makes it to stop.

Molecular mass: Molecular mass of a substance is defined as the sum o the atomic masses of all the atoms present in a molecule of a substance. Therefore the relative mass of a molecule is expressed as atomic mass units (amu).

Empirical formula: The empirical formula is the simplest formula for a compound which is defined as the ratio of subscripts of the smallest possible whole number of the elements present in the formula. It is also known as the simplest formula. An empirical formula for a compound is the formula of a substance written with the smallest integer subscript.

To help them find their prey in the dark, most bat species have developed a remarkable navigation system called echolocation. Bats use echo in this process .A bat emits a ultrasound waves and listens carefully to the echoes that are returned. The ultrasound pulses are not echoed if way is clear. The bat's brain processes the returning information the same way we processed our shouting sound using a stopwatch and calculator. By determining how long it takes a noise to return, the bat's brain figures out how far away an object is. They compare the volume of echoes in their right and left ears, and turn away from the louder echo, since that obstacle would presumably be nearer this method allowed bats to avoid obstacles using just the first millisecond of the echo as a signal.
