Transpiration plays a vital role in the body of the plants, some of them are :

It helps it to transport water and minerals towards the leaves from the roots in the upward direction against the gravitational pull

It cools down the plant during summers

It removes excess water

Also when water is eliminated from the plant it urges the roots to pull more water and along with them minerals are also absorbed with is beneficial for the plant.

It creates problem in division of meristmetic cell

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 7 months ago

Meristematic cells divide frequently and give rise to new cells and hence they need dense cytoplasm and thin cell wall. Vacuoles causes hindrance in cell division as it is full of cell sap to provide turgidity and rigidity to the cell. Also vacuoles basically serve the purpose of storing of nutrients, excess salts etc. Meristematic cells do not need to store these nutrients as they have compact shape.

Acceleration due to the earth's gravity is zero at the centre of the Earth because at that point the mass of the earth is equally distributed in all directions, so pulling equally in all directions for a net zero pull.
As the distance from the centre decreases, the acceleration due to gravity also decreases.
At the centre the distance is zero, hence gravity is zero.

Longitudinal waves are the waves where the displacement of the medium is in the same direction, or in opposite direction, and direction of the travel of the wave. The distance between the centers of two consecutive regions of compression or the rarefaction is defined by wavelength, λ. When the compression and rarefaction regions are of two waves coincide with each other, it is known as constructive interference and if the regions of compression and rarefaction do not coincide, it is known as destructive interference.

Pasture is land with herbaceous vegetation cover used for grazing of ungulate livestock as part of a farm or ranch. Prior to the advent of mechanized farming, pasture was the primary source of food for grazing animals such as cattle and horses. It is still used extensively, particularly in arid regions where pasture land is unsuitable for any other agricultural production.Pasture growth can consist of grasses, legumes, other forbs, shrubs or a mixture. better pasturage provides better habitat for honey bees & ensure more honey production.

Since no external force acts on the rifle, the change in momentum is zero.
Mometum of rifle = Momentum of bullet.
4 x V = 0.050 x 35
V = 0.44 m/s.
This is the recoil velocity of rifle.

No,he is choose gold thin sheet because it have 1000 atom and pass a-rays

Sujit Patra 5 years, 7 months ago

He doesn't choose zinc because he wanted a sheet as thin as possible. And gold is the most good non reactable substance for his experiment.

A hypertonic solution is a solution that has a greater concentration of solutes on the outside of a cell when compared with the inside of a cell.

A hypotonic solution is a solution that has a lesser concentration of solutes on the outside of a cell when compared with the inside of a cell.

An isotonic solution has same concentration of solutes outside and inside of a cell.

Ernest Rutherford was interested in knowing how the electrons are arranged within an atom. Rutherford designed an experiment for this. In this experiment, fast moving alpha (α)-particles were made to fall on a thin gold foil.

  • He selected a gold foil because he wanted as thin a layer as possible. This gold foil was about 1000 atoms thick.
  • α-particles are doubly-charged helium ions. Since they have a mass of 4µ, the fast-moving α-particles have a considerable amount of energy.

It was expected that α-particles would be deflected by the sub-atomic particles in the gold atoms. Since the α-particles were much heavier than the protons, he did not expect to see large deflections. But, the α-particle scattering experiment gave totally unexpected results .

The latent heat of vaporisation of a liquid is the quantity of heat in joules required to convert 1 kilogram of the liquid (at its boiling point) to vapour or gas, without any change in temperature.
The latent heat of vaporization of water is 22.5×105 joules per kilogram (or 22.5×105 j/kg).

Rohan Rauniyar 5 years, 7 months ago

Amount of 1kg solid change into liquid below melting point is called latent heat of vapourization.
