The first change to occur by heating collagen is the shortening of the length of collagen.
Boiling at normal temperatures and pressure does not damage collagen unless we are providing a reasonable temperature.
Collagen proteins undergo changes at 572°F (300°C).
Above 572°F, collagen proteins undergo a degradation that cannot be reversed. Collagen is a scleroprotein (q.v.), being one of a family of proteins marked by low solubility in water. ... Upon exposure to boiling water, collagen is converted to gelatin.

The number of protons present in the nucleus of an atom is the atomic number of that atom. It is represented by the symbol Z.
Atomic number (Z) = Number of protons (p) = Number of electrons
Atomic mass number is defined as the sum of the number of protons and neutrons contained in the nucleus of an atom of that element. It is denoted by the symbol A.
The mass of an atom is practically due to protons and neutrons alone. These are present in the nucleus of an atom. Hence protons and neutrons are also called nucleons. Therefore, the mass of an atom resides in its nucleus.
Atomic mass number (A) = Number of protons (p) + Number of neutrons (n)
If atomic mass and number of protons is given, we can find the number of neutrons.

- Gravitational force is responsible for binding us to Earth.
- It is the reason behind the motion of moon around the earth.
- Planets revolve around the sun because of it.
- Even the tides that get formed by rising and falling of water level in the ocean happen because of the gravitational force exerted by both sun and moon on the earth.

Stars do not really twinkle, they just appear to twinkle when seen from the surface of Earth. The stars twinkle in the night sky because of the effects of our atmosphere. When starlight enters our atmosphere it is affected by winds in the atmosphere and by areas with different temperatures and densities. This causes the light from the star to twinkle when seen from the ground due to atmospheric refraction.
