The ability of the human eye to adjust itself such that it can see objects which are nearby and faraway is called Accommodation.
It primarily involves the lens and ciliary muscles.
The ciliary muscles are capable of modifying the curvature of the lens and thereby affecting the focal length of the lens.
When viewing objects which are nearby, the ciliary muscles contract, the lens becomes thicker. It is squeezed into a more convex shape and the focal length decreases (curvature increases). The images again falls on the retina. Note that here the eye is 'accommodating' by taking a thicker shape so that the image falls on the retina

The weight of an object on the moon will be about one-sixth of what is on the earth. Thus, a spring balance which shows the weight of a body to be 6 N on earth will show a weight of only 1 N when taken to the moon. The weight of an object on the moon is less than that on the earth because the mass and radius of the moon are less than that of earth.
Suppose we have an object of mass m. let its weight on the moon be Wm, the mass of the moon is Mm and its radius is Rm. now, according to the universal law of gravitation, the weight of the object on the moon will be:
Wm = G x Mm x m/Rm2
Let the weight of the same object on the earth be We. The mass of the earth is M and its radius is R.
We = G x M x m/R2
Wm = G x 7.36 x 1022 kg x m / (1.74 x 106 m)2
Wm = 2.431 x 1010 G x m i.
We = 1.474 x 1011 G x m ii.
Dividing both the equations i. & ii.
Wm/We = 1/6
Weight of the object on the moon / Weight of the object on the earth = 1/6
Weight of the object on the moon = (1/6) × its weight on the earth.

The vegetable oils (like groundnut oil, cotton seed oil and mustard oil) are unsaturated compounds containing double bonds. They are in the liquid state at room temperature. Due to the presence of double bonds, vegetable oils undergo addition of hydrogen just like alkenes to form saturated products called vegetable ghee or vanaspati ghee which are solid (or semi-solid) at the room temperature.
An example of the hydrogenation of oils is given below: Vegetable oils are unsaturated fats having double bonds between some of their carbon atoms. When a vegetable oil (like groundnut oil) is heated with hydrogen in the presence of finely divided nickel as catalyst, then a saturated fat called vegetable ghee (or vanaspati ghee) is formed.

Let the two bodies have masses m1 and m2 respectively such that m2 > m1 . Then, for first object p1 = m1v1 and for second object p2 = m2v2
But p1 = p2 or m1v1 = m2v2
Since m1 < m2, then v1 > v2
Now, K = 1/2 mv^2 = 1/2 pv, therefore,
K1/K2 = p1v1 / p2v2 = v1/v2
But v1 > v2
Therefore, kinetic energy of body of lesser mass is more.
