Valency means combining capicity of an element .
Relationship between the number of valence electrons and valency:
Valence electrons are the number of electrons present in the outermost shell of an atom.
Valency is the combing capicity of an element to form bonds with the other elements.
For Example:
Let us take the case of Oxygen whose Atomic number is 8.Thus,its electronic configuration is 2,6.
Oxygen has 6 electrons in its outermost shell and requires 2 more electrons to complete its octet state.
So,here Oxygen has 6 valence electrons and 2 as its valency .
The number of valence electrons increases from left to right in the periodic table.
If the number of valence electrons of an element is equal to 4 as that of carbon, the the element would also have same valency that is 4.

A mixture is made up of two or more pure substances in which each substance or component retains its original properties. The main components present in some common mixtures are:
- A cup of tea is a mixture of water, sugar, milk and tea leaves extract.
- Milk is a mixture of cream in a watery liquid.
- Sea-water is a mixture of water, common salt, and various other salts dissolved in it.
The reasons for separating mixtures into their components:
- To remove undesirable component.
- To remove a harmful component.
- To obtain the pure sample of a substance.
- To obtain a useful component.

When body going vertically upwards, reaches at the highest point, then it is momentarily at rest and it then reverses its direction. At the highest point of motion, its velocity is zero but its acceleration is equal to acceleration due to gravity. There are three ways an object can accelerate: a change in velocity, a change in direction, or a change in both velocity and direction.

Translational motion is the motion by which a body shifts from one point in space to another. One example of translational motion is the the motion of a bullet fired from a gun. An object has a rectilinear motion when it moves along a straight line.

Elements are pure substances which are composed of only one type of atom. | Compound are substances which are formed by two or more different types of elements that are united chemically in fixed proportions. |
There are nearly 118 elements (at present) of which nearly 94 occur naturally on Earth. | Compounds are almost endless. |
Elements are classified as either metals, nonmetals or metalloids. | Compounds are classified according to their bonds which can be ionic, molecular or metallic. |
Some of the examples of elements are Iron, Copper, Gold, etc. | A few examples of compou |

The best way to separate cream from the milk is through the process of centrifugation. The sample milk is rotated into the centrifuge. At very high speed. In this way the denser particles settles at the bottom and the lighter ones float over the surface and cream being lighter than milk will float on the top and can be easily extracted out of the milk and can be separated easily.

Factors of production:
Land: It is defined so as to include not only the surface of the Earth but also all the other gifts of nature.
Labour: Labour consists of all human efforts of the body or mind which are undertaken in the expectation of reward.
Capital: Capital is known as the produced means of production. First, it is created by man and is not a gift of nature. Second, it is a means of production and used as an input in producing other goods. Such type of goods is not directly consumed.
Human Capital:A human capital is a person who carries the risk of business and coordinates the activities of all the other factors of production.
Out of all the four factors of production, human capital is considered the best among all the resources. This is because it makes use of the other resources like land, labour and physical capital to produce an output while the other resources cannot become useful on their own.
