In a plasmolysed cell, the protoplast loses water due to exosmosis and thus shrinks away from the cell wall. Thus, the space between the protoplast and the cell wall would consist of a solution (water and certain solutes) present in the extracellular region of the cell. The hypertonic solution (i.e. a solution with high salt concentration) occupies the space between the cell wall and shrunken protoplast in a plasmolysed cell.

The ‘acceleration of a body’ moving with uniform velocity will be zero as acceleration is defined as the “rate of change of velocity” per unit time. So if the body exhibit uniform velocity, then the rate of ‘change of velocity’ (dv = 0) will be zero.
Thus the acceleration formula,
a= dv/dt = 0
Thus the acceleration of the body will also be zero. As the final and initial velocity have same magnitude the acceleration will be zero.

Water vapour diffuses faster than ethyl alcohol or wax.
Explanation:
When the matters of two different types of particles of are intermixing on their own, this is called as diffusion. The diffusion rate increases with increase in the diffusion temperature of the substance. It is a natural process. Diffusion process occur place in the “solid, liquid and gas”. Since water vapour is in the state of gas, the kinetic energy is maximum between the particles in the gases. Therefore, the movement of particles is in high speed and its movement has no fixed shape and volume. Gases diffuse faster than solid and liquid. The inter molecular space in gas is more and inter molecular forces are less.

Wood is not a pure substance it is a mixture, because it is composed of compounds such as cellulose, hemicelluloses, and lignin which are made up of elements such as carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. Wood is a heterogeneous mixture. Pure substances are filled entirely with elements or compounds, whereas mixtures are multiple compounds mixed either uniformly (homogeneous mixture) or non-uniformly (heterogeneous mixture).

Endosmosis: When there is passage of a fluid in this case water, from a region of lower concentration to a region of higher concentration through a semipermeable surface (the membrane of a cell), the process is known as endosmosis.
Exosmosis: Exosmosis is the passage of water through a cell membrane (semipermeable) toward a surrounding medium of lower concentration.
Therefore a cell will display endosmosis when it shrinks by losing water when placed in a water or display exosmosis when it swells up or enlargens when placed in a water.

Let us consider an object of mass m, moving along a straight line with an initial velocity u. Let us say, after a certain time t, with a constant acceleration, the final velocity becomes v.Here we see that, the initial momentum
p1 = m × u
The final momentum
p2 = m × v
The change in momentum can be written as
p2 - p1 = (m ×v) - (m ×u)= m (v-u)
As we know, the rate of change of momentum with respect to time is proportional to the applied force. The applied force
F∝ [m × (v-u)]/t
or
F∝ m × a
as acceleration (a) = rate of change of velocity with respect to time
.F= k × m × a
Above is the second law of motion formula.

Mercury is the fastest planet, which speeds around the sun at 47.87 km/s. In miles per hour this equates to a whopping 107,082 miles per hour. 2. Venus is the second fastest planet with an orbital speed of 35.02 km/s, or 78,337 miles per hour. The orbital speed can be found using v = SQRT(G*M/R). The R value (radius of orbit) is the earth's radius plus the height above the earth - in this case, 6.77 x 106 m. This means that Jupiter has the shortest days of all the planets in the solar system. Venus is the slowest - it rotates once every 243 days —- by far the slowest rotation period of any of the major planets. A Venusian sidereal day thus lasts more than a Venusian year (243 versus 224.7 Earth days).

Characteristics of matter that are demonstrated by diffusion are:
1. Particles have inter-particle spaces between them.
2.Particles of matter attract each othe, which is strongest in case of solid, little less in case of liquid and least in case of gases.
3. State of matter which is closely packed diffuses slowly.

Take a 100 mL beaker.
• Fill half the beaker with water and
mark the level of water.
• Dissolve some salt/ sugar with the help
of a glass rod.
• Observe any change in water level.
Explanation:
When we dissolve salt in water, the particles
of salt get into the spaces between particles
of water.

Mitosis gives identical cells to each other and to the mother cell, while meiosis leads to genetic variation due to crossing over and independent assortment. Mitosis gives nuclei with the same number of chromosomes as the mother cell while meiosis gives cells with half the number. The fundamental difference between mitosis and meiosis is that mitosis produces two daughter cells with the same number of chromosomes as the parent cell. Meiosis results in four daughter cells harboring only half of their parent's chromosomes, which underwent recombination.

Prokaryotic cells are primitive cells. They do not possess many membrane bound organelles as mitochondria, lysosomes etc. They also do not haven well-defined membrane-bound nucleus. Nuclear material of a prokaryotic cell consists of a single chromosome which is in direct contact with cytoplasm. Here, the undefined nuclear region in the cytoplasm is called as nucleoid, i.e., there is no nuclear membrane.
