In the poem The Brook is personificated and it compare is journey to men as it emerges from distant place of mountain , a favourite haunts of the sea birds like coots and heron and make lots of noise as human also comes and are full of enthusiasm ready to face all the challenges .But Brook is eternal but man have short lifespan south say For men may come and men may go , But I go Forever.

Narrator's grandmother was a determined lady. She succeeded to read and write. She proof to be a wonderful student who would read, write, repeat and recite. She did a lot of homework regularly just because of firm determination. She was an emotional lady and also we find her weeping in the story because she was unable to read and write. She make sure that her children and grandchildren studied well.
