Harold was a ten year old son of Mrs. and Mr. Bramble. In fact, he was a prodigy. He loved his books and was exceptionally good at academics. He had won prizes at school in ‘spelling and dictation’. He had some interest in boxing too. In fact he liked the fact that his father was a famous boxer; and felt angry at his parents for having kept this secret from him.

The message of the poem BROOK by Alfred Lord Tennyson is that
as the brook or the stream moves continuously without any complains,it passes through its way with great passion, it accepts everything that comes in its path in the same way we should also carry on with both the advantages as well as the disadvantages of life.
The only difference between us an the brook is that the brook is immortal it is ever-flowing but we humans are mortal. We utimately meet death but the brook continues to move. When the brook can flow such a neverending path with so much of hope, happiness ,passion and love, then why can't we live this short span of life happily.
In the poem we can see that the brook shows many of the human qualities like it fret, it chatter, it babbles,it seems that it is chatting with the objects that is coming in its way.It comes across the weed-willows which are unwanted and also the mallows which are beautiful bushes with colorful flowers. It means that it accepts both the unwanted as well as the most desirable things. We should also learn from it.
Our life is short unlike the brook we must live it with full dedication, full energy and with high consciousness. We should enjoy it as well and dedicate, devote and determine ourselves to reach our desired destination.

Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K. Jerome is a book that is written with a comical touch to make the reading interesting. The book features the protagonist wanting to go on a boat ride on the river with two of his closest friends and his pet dog Montmorency. When all of them eventually set their foot on the boat to enjoy the boat ride, the protagonist realizes that the pristine waters that he assumed would make the ride relaxing, is actually quite challenging and requires a lot of sailing skills to keep the boat at bay on the river. He experiences severe troubles while cooking and encounters swans, which put up a fight with them. They also come across kettles and pineapple tins, which make the sail all the more challenging. This book is packed with drawings by Vic Reeves and therefore makes for a humorous reading. Three Men in a Boat intends to have the reader engrossed through its comical narration of the boating experience and colourful drawings.
