The author's description of the bag packing scene is quite humorous. As Harris, George and he are about to begin packing, he volunteers the packing himself. What he had meant was superintending while Harris and George did the actual packing. However he did the packing with great difficulty. He finished it at 10:05. He had hardly finished packing when he was reminded to pack his boots too. He again had to open up the bag to pack his boots. As he repacked, he was doubtful whether he had packed his tooth brush or not. In order to check, he again unpacked the bag; he could not find his toothbrush though he shook each and every article packed. The tooth brush was ultimately found in the boots. Now he again set to fold all the clothes and pack them again.

This is a real incident of a teenager Zan Gaudioso. The narrator in this story is a teenager who finds it difficult to make new friends and adjust to a new place. He feels lonely and expressed. After junior high school, the narrator joined the high school. He felt at a loss and lonely among new teachers and students. He missed his old school and old friends. One day his house caught fire. The whole house was burnt .Nothing was left he lost his cat also. The narrator went to his grandparent’s house with his mother. Next day, the narrator had to go to school wearing the previous day’s dress and borrowed shoes. He had lost everything in the fire. He felt embarrassed .The news of fire soon spread in the school. Everyone felt concern for the narrator they wanted to help him. They gave him all kinds of clothes, books and school supplies. Their selfless love and concern touched his heart .Soon he had many friends. The narrator still missed his pet cat. It was missing. After months when he and his friends watching his house rebuilt, a lady came with his cat. She brought happiness back to the narrator. Now the feeling of loss and tragedy had gone. He was grateful to life, his new friends and the kind lady. He regained interest in life

I WILL begin with Bruno, my wife’s pet sloth bear. I got him for her by accident. Two years ago we were passing through the sugarcane fields near Mysore. People were driving away the wild pigs from the fields by shooting at them. Some were shot and some escaped.
