    Three reasons for the decline of indian textile industries by the end of 19th century are as follows:

    1. after th industrial revolution britain started producing machine made textiles which were often of better quality and cheaper than indian textiles
    2. textiles from india had high demands in europe. So, british passed strict laws and banned the import of textiles in britain.
    3. Also, India had no support from the colonial British government.

    Orientalist These are the Europeans that have great knowledge about the language and culture of the eastern countries. They thought of teaching the local languages, traditions,cultures,laws to the Europeans. They had a great respect towards history, traditions and culture of India. They opined to rule India better , it was necessary for the Europeans to learn about India. They translated the books of indian into English . They felt that the British should become the guardians and master's of Indian culture.
