Land use pattern refers to the way the land is utilised.

  1. The Forest cover of the country is less than the prescribed 33% of the total country’s land. Forests occupy about 23.81% of the total land surface in India.
  2. Total net sown area of India is 46.24% of the total land in the country.
  3. Net sown area differs from state to state. While in Punjab and Haryana, the net sown area is more than 80% of the total land in the state, it is less than 10% in Arunanchal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur and Andaman Nicobar Islands. 3.38% of the total land is used for grazing while rests of the remaining lands are fallow and waste lands.
  4. In India, the land under permanent pasture has decreased.

land under forest not increased much since 1960 because there has been constant deforestation of forests for expanding agricultural fields, fro building residential areas, highways, large dams etc

Answer.Answer. As a result of the rebellion of 1857, the British changed their policies. Following are the important changes that the British made: (i) The powers of the East India Company, was transferred to the British Crown in order to ensure a more responsible management of Indian affairs. (ii) The Governor-General of India was given the title of Viceroy, that is, a personal representative of the Crown. (iii) All ruling chiefs of the country were assured that their territory would never be annexed in future. They were allowed to pass on their kingdoms to their heirs, including adopted son. But they had to acknowledge the British queen as their Sovereign Paramount. (iv) It was decided that the proportion of Indian soldiers in the army would be reduced and the number of European soliders would be increased. It was also decided that instead of recruiting soldiers from Awadh, Bihar, Central India and South India more soldiers would be recruited from among the Gorkhqs, Sikhs and Pathans. (v) The British decided to respect the customary religions and social practices of the people in India.

There are 3 types of resources. They are Human resource, Human made resource and Natural resource...

Yogita Ingle 7 years, 3 months ago

Resources are usually classified into two types,  natural and human made
Natural Resource: Resources which are obtained from nature are called natural resources. Some of the natural resources can be used directly, while for using some others we need the help of some technologies .
Human Made Resources: When a natural resource undergoes drastic change by human intervention, it becomes human-made resource. For example; iron ore is processed to make steel and hence steel is a man-made resource. Buildings, bridges, railways, machines, etc. are examples of human-made resources. Technology is also a human-made resource.

Sonali Aggarwal 7 years, 3 months ago

Actually they may not rule further ,in this case what happens is the governer of the state suggests or calls a party to rule if they have a majority for an example take party A they tied up with B and made a gov. then disputes happen in the parties then the governor calls party C to rule then this party C has to show majority so they can join with D or any other if you're not satisfied then ask this question again and I will try to explain it to you properly
