Iron and steel of Jamshedpur Iron and Steel of Detroit
Jamshedpur is an important iron and steel centre in India,the rise of  ​TISCO started in 1907 at Sakchi by Dorabji Tata, near the confluence of the rivers Subarnarekha and Kharkai in Jharkhand, . It was later renamed as Jamshedpur. Detroit is located in the US state of Michigan and is famous for its automobile industry.It is also known as motor city and thus use iron and steel as its main component.
TISCO is strategically located as it has been set up near the sources of raw material i.e., Iron ore which it gets from Odisa and Chattisgarh Detroit is also strategically located and enjoys locational advantages in term of raw material , like it gets iron ore from Lake superior region,
 It gets water supply from Kharkai and Subarnarekha rivers Its water needs are fulfilled from River Detroit and lake Erie. It also gets hydroelectricity from Niagara falls.

A plot of land cleaned by felling trees and then burning it. The ashes was mixed in the soil.After planting crops in the land. The land loses its fertility. Then the land is abonded and the cultivator shifts to a new plot.

Shifting cultivatio is also known as slash and burn cultivation. This is practiced in thickly forested area.In this a large part is cleared by cutting or by burning trees.

Metallic Non-Metallic
Metallic Minerals are minerals in which metal elements are present in their raw form. Non-metallic minerals do not contain any metal substances in them.
When metallic minerals are melted a new product is formed. In the case of non-metallic minerals, you don’t get any new product after such a process.
Metallic minerals are usually found in igneous and metamorphic rock formations. Non-metallic minerals are often found embedded in young fold mountains and sedimentary rocks.
Metallic minerals are good conductors of electricity as well as heat. Non-metallic minerals are basically good insulators of electricity and heat.
Metallic minerals have high malleability and ductility. Non-metallic minerals, lack in malleability and ductility and these minerals break down easily.
Metallic minerals generally have lustre. Non-metallic minerals do not have any shine or lustre.
