What Should I Do Before, During, And After An Earthquake? What to Do Before an Earthquake Make sure you have a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, a battery-powered radio, a flashlight, and extra batteries at home. Learn first aid. Learn how to turn off the gas, water, and electricity. Make up a plan of where to meet your family after an earthquake. Don't leave heavy objects on shelves (they'll fall during a quake). Anchor heavy furniture, cupboards, and appliances to the walls or floor. Learn the earthquake plan at your school or workplace. What to Do During an Earthquake Stay calm! If you're indoors, stay inside. If you're outside, stay outside. If you're indoors, stand against a wall near the center of the building, stand in a doorway, or crawl under heavy furniture (a desk or table). Stay away from windows and outside doors. If you're outdoors, stay in the open away from power lines or anything that might fall. Stay away from buildings (stuff might fall off the building or the building could fall on you). Don't use matches, candles, or any flame. Broken gas lines and fire don't mix. If you're in a car, stop the car and stay inside the car until the earthquake stops. Don't use elevators (they'll probably get stuck anyway). What to Do After an Earthquake Check yourself and others for injuries. Provide first aid for anyone who needs it. Check water, gas, and electric lines for damage. If any are damaged, shut off the valves. Check for the smell of gas. If you smell it, op

The pukishness, headaches etc stem from motion sickness. Motion sickness is aggravated for some people by reading or staring at any surface like a map or a phone because it causes a disconnect between ur perceived movement in a car and the movement of the fluids in your ears (this ear fluid assists in your body balance). You are basically feeling motion but not seeing it. And that throws your system. I suffer from such motion sickness and the explanation above is what I have gleaned from my research on it. Im not a doc so i dont know the scientific terminology for this. The wiki page on motion sickness should provide you the same answer in more technical terms!

Cell is called the fundamental unit of life. A cell is capable of independent existence and can carry out all the functions which are necessary for a living being. A cell carries out nutrition, respiration, excretion, transportation and reproduction; the way an individual organism does. Unicellular organisms are capable of independent existence which shows a cell’s capability to exist independently. Due to this, a cell is called the fundamental and structural unit of life. All living beings are composed of the basic unit of life, i.e. cell.

When iron is exposed to water or air over a period of time, the iron reacts with oxygen in the presence of moisture to form a reddish-brown chemical compound, iron oxide. This is referred to as rust. So chemically, rust is hydrated iron(III) oxide or Fe2O3.nH2O.
Iron reacts very readily with oxygen. This is one of the reasons as to why it is rare to find pure iron in nature.
Factors Affecting Rusting:
There are several factors that assist and accelerate the process of rusting. Some of them are:
(i) Moisture: Iron exposed to rains is the most common reason.
(ii) Acid: It accelerates rusting. When exposed to acid rains, iron rusts faster. On the other hand, alkalis inhibit rusting.
(iii) Salt: Iron tends to rust faster in sea, due to the presence of salt.
(iv) Impurity: Pure iron rusts slower than the iron mass which contains a mixture of metals.
