This system is more useful on the uneven Land where sufficient water is not available . the perpendicular pipes , having rotating nozzles on top , are joined to the main pipeline at regular intervals . When water is allowed to flow through the main pipe under pressure with the help of a pump , it escapes from the rotating nozzles . It gets sprinkled on the crop as if it is raining . Sprinkler is very useful for sandy soil .??☺️

Traditional methods of irrigation: Traditional methods of irrigation involve different ways of obtaining water from wells, lakes, and canals and transporting it to fields with the help of cattle or by human labour. In this method, irrigation is done manually. The main advantage of this method is that it is cheap but efficiency is poor because the even distribution of water is not always possible. Pumps are used to lift water. They normally run on biogas, electricity, or solar energy.
Modern methods of irrigation: Modern methods of irrigation help save water. The modern method involves two systems: Sprinkler system and Drip system.
