Polyester is a synthetic fibre.Polyester (poly+ester)is made up of the repeating unitsof a chemical called an ester. The chemical compounds used in making polyester fibres are made from petroleum products called petrochemicals.
Yogita Ingle 7 years, 6 months ago
Polymers are substances containing a large number of structural units joined by the same type of linkage. These substances often form into a chain-like structure. Today, the polymer industry has grown to be larger than the aluminum, copper and steel industries combined. Polymers already have a range of applications that far exceeds that of any other class of material available to man. Current applications extend from adhesives, coatings, foams, and packaging materials to textile and industrial fibers, composites, electronic devices, biomedical devices, optical devices, and precursors for many newly developed high-tech ceramics.

The act or process of mating organisms of different varieties or species to create a hybrid.Hybrid variety seeds are used to increase the quality of the produce.
Yogita Ingle 7 years, 6 months ago
Hybridization is the crossing of dissimilar individuals to produce best of both organisms. One advantage of hybridization is that it can combine disease resistance of one organism with the production capacity of another. Crop yields increase dramatically when hybridization is used to exceed one or more of the parents in size and reproductive potential.

Coal and petroleum were formed from dead remains of plants and animals which got buried millions of years ago. Due to this, coal and petroleum are called fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are the buried organism under high temperature and pressure in earth crust deeply in the form of fuel. Fossil fuels were created by decomposing organic (plant and animal) matter a long, long time ago and are typically found underground. Different temperatures and pressures resulted in the organic matter transforming into coal, oil or gas. For example petroleum, coal, etc.

Manufacturing synthetic fibres is actually helping conservation of forests because raw material for natural fibers are mainly derived from plants and this means cutting a lots of trees. This leads to deforestation. But raw material of synthetic material are mainly petrochemicals. Therefore it does not require cutting plants to get the natural fibres.

An organism which cannot be seen by naked eyes is called microorganism or microbe. We need a microscope to see a microbe.
Types of Microorganism
- Bacteria: Bacteria are microscopic organisms which have cell walls but do not have nucleus. Some bacteria are autotrophs but most are heterotrophs. Bacteria are found in different shapes; like rod-shaped, spiral, spherical and comma-shaped. Examples: Rhizobium, E. coli, Pseudomonas, Streptococcus, etc.
- Algae: Algae are green plants which are simple in structure. A cell of algae contains cell wall and chloroplast. Algae are autotrophs. Some algae are microscopic. Examples: Chlamydomonas, Spirogyra, etc.
- Fungi: Fungi have cell wall and nucleus in their cells but do not have chloroplast. Fungi are saprotrophs, i.e. they feed on dead remains of plants and animals. Almost all fungi are microscopic, except mushrooms. Examples: yeast, Rhizopus (bread mould), Aspergillus, Penicillium, etc.
- Protozoa: Protozoa do not have cell wall and chloroplast but they do have nucleus. Amoeba and Plasmodium are examples of protozoa.

| Manure | Fertilizer |
| Manure is a natural or an organic substance obtained by the decomposition of plant and animal wastes. This is done by microbes, earthworms, fungus etc. | Fertilizer is a synthetic substance or an inorganic compound. |
| Low percentage of nutrients is present. | High percentage of nutrients is present. |
| Manure provides a lot of organic matter to the soil. It is slowly absorbed by the plants. | Fertilizer does not provide any humus to the soil. It is quickly absorbed by the plants. |
| Crop productivity is increased only to some certain extent. | Crop productivity is increased many folds by its use. |
| No side effects of manure are absorbed. | Chemicals in fertilisers are washed away to the nearby water bodies, causing soil and water pollution. |

Preparation of Soil : The first step of cultivation is preparation of soil. This is done by loosening and turning the soil. A plough is used for this purpose. If the soil becomes too hard then farmer may resort to watering the soil before ploughing. Traditionally, animal-drawn ploughs have been used by farmers. Now-a-days, tractor-drawn ploughs are used for this purpose. A tractor helps in saving time and labour. The soil may contain many big lumps even after ploughing. The lumps are broken with the help of a hoe. Sometimes the farmer may add manure before ploughing; in order to properly mix the manure with soil.

Frictional Force refers to the force generated by two surfaces that contacts and slide against each other. These forces are mainly affected by the surface texture and amount of force impelling them together. The angle and position of the object affect the amount of frictional force.
