Eyes are the sense organs which give us the sense of vision. The human eye is almost spherical in shape. Following are the main structures in the human eye.
Cornea: The eyeball is covered with a tough layer. This layer is transparent on the front. This transparent portion is called cornea.
Iris: Iris is a thin circular structure. It works like the shutter of a camera. It controls the amount of light entering the eye. The colour of iris imparts distinct colour to the eyes of an individual. A person with blue iris has blue eyes.
Pupil: There is a hole in the centre of iris. This is called pupil. Light enters the eye through the pupil. When the light is bright, iris contracts and thus allows less light into the eye. When the light is dim, iris dilates and thus allows more light into the eye.
Lens: Lens is present behind the pupil. The lens in the human eye is a convex lens. The size and thickness of the lens change as per the distance of an object.

In the process of electroplating of copper on a metallic spoon, the iron spoon is made the cathode. When electricity is passed through the solution, Cu2+ ions move towards the cathode and get reduced to copper metal. This copper metal gets electroplated on the object, i.e., the metalic spoon. In silver plating, the object to be plated (e.g., a spoon) is made from the cathode of an electrolytic cell. The anode is a bar of silver metal, and the electrolyte (the liquid in between the electrodes) is a solution of silver cyanide, AgCN, in water.

A buffer solution is one which resists changes in pH when small quantities of an acid or an alkali are added to it. Acidic buffer solutions. An acidic buffer solution is simply one which has a pH less than 7. Acidic buffer solutions are commonly made from a weak acid and one of its salts - often a sodium salt. The main difference between zoos and sanctuaries is how they acquire their animals. A zoo might buy, sell, breed, or trade animals, or even capture animals from the wild. A sanctuary also does not capture animals from the wild but acquires only animals who can no longer survive in the wild. Sanctuaries are better is because the animals often die prematurely in zoos. For example, an elephant in the wild generally lives three times longer than an elephant in a zoo. This is because the animals cannot get the right resources that they usually get in the wild.

Comet is a body of ice, rock and dust that can be several miles in diameter and orbits the sun. Debris from comets is the source of many meteoroids whereas meteor is a meteoroid that enters the earth's atmosphere and vaporizes. Also called a “shooting star.” Over time, the dust tails of comets form extended clouds of dust and debris which orbit in the same path as the comet which formed them. These occasionally intersect the earth's orbit and the grains of dust burn up in the earth's atmosphere as meteor showers. A meteor is therefore much smaller than a comet.

Lubricated friction is a case of fluid friction where a lubricant fluid separates two solid surfaces. Lubrication helps fill in the uneven zig zag surface, tries to make it smoother in order to allow smooth relative motion between the surfaces, thereby reducing friction. Lubrication reduces the heat generated when two surfaces are in motion. It smoothes the process by forming a film between two surfaces that reduces friction and thus improves performance and efficiency. There are different variety of lubricants and oils available such as Engine Oil, Hydraulic Oil, and Greases.

The conversion of fertile land into desert is called desertification. Deforestation changes the physical properties. It causes soil erosion. Removal of top layer of soil exposes the lower, hard and rock layers. This soil has less human and is less fertile. Gradually the fertile land gets converted into deserts.
