The deficiency of thyroxine hormone causes a disease called goitre. The main symptom of goitre disease is that the neck of the person suffering from this disease appears swollen. People are advised to use iodised salt for cooking food to prevent goitre.

A kaleidoscope is a tube with loose, small, colorful objects inside. These objects can be beads or something similar. The inside is made using three long mirrors. A person looks into the kaleidoscope through one end and sees patterns created by reflections of the objects inside.

The time taken to complete one vibration is called time period. It is the time needed to complete one cycle of vibration at a given point. And also time period is inversely proportional to frequency. As the frequency of a wave increases, the time period of the wave decreases. Frequency, f, is how many cycles of an oscillation occur per second and is measured in cycles per second or hertz (Hz). The period of a wave, T, is the amount of time it takes a wave to vibrate one full cycle. These two terms are inversely proportional to each other: f = 1/T and T = 1/f.
