Sound waves are formed when a vibrating object causes the surrounding medium to vibrate. A medium is a material (solid, liquid or gas) which a wave travels through. As sound waves move through a medium the particles vibrate forwards and backwards. A sound's volume, how loud or soft it is, depends on the sound wave.

(i) Strings of sitar or veena vibrate to produce sound.

(ii) The skin of the tabla vibrate to produce sound.

(iii) The disc of the bell when beated with hammer vibrate to produce sound.

(iv) Wings of the mosquito or a bee vibrate to produce sound.

Amoeba is well known genus of unicellular organism. It reproduces by the means of asexual reproduction. One of the most common species is Amoeba Proteus,os about 0.2 to 0.3 mm large. During the binary fission the necluws divides into karyokinesis, later divides cytoplasm and cell membrance by cytokinesis. This process is known as meosis. Amoeba was first discovered by August Von Rosenhof in 1757

Friction possessed by fluids like air, water, ...etc is called FLUID FRICTION

Yogita Ingle 6 years, 10 months ago

Fluid friction occurs between fluid layers that are moving relative to each other. This internal resistance to flow is named viscosity. In everyday terms, the viscosity of a fluid is described as its “thickness”.

All real fluids offer some resistance to shearing and therefore are viscous. It is helpful to use the concept of an inviscid fluid or an ideal fluid which offers no resistance to shearing and so is not viscous.

Example:If there is a wet surface between two thin glass plates, you will notice that platest get stucked and the bottom plate doesn’t fall when you hold only the top one.

vaccines prevent or mitigate infections. They are designed to induce a protective immune response in the body against the viruses represented in the vaccine. When vaccinated, the immune system of the body produces a specific response, consisting of specific T cells and specific antibodies that fight off the infection when exposure to the virus occurs at a later stage. More importantly, vaccination also leads to the induction of a specific immunological memory against the viruses represented in the vaccine. Upon contact with the virus at a later stage, the immune system is able to mount a specific response much more rapidly than the non-primed immune system. Antibiotics are medicines that interfere with the reproduction of bacteria and are, therefore, only useful for treating bacterial infections. Viral diseases, like influenza, can therefore not be treated with antibiotics. What is worse, inappropriate use of antibiotics contributes to the development of antibiotic resistance, a growing health concern. Secondary bacterial infections that may occur in tissues that have been damaged by influenza virus infection may well be treated with antibiotics. Tags: health, influenza, vaccination, vaccine

Suspended particulate matter (SPM) are finely divided solids or liquids that may be dispersed through the air from combustion processes, industrial activities or natural sources. Air pollutants consist of gaseous pollutants, odours, and SPM, (suspended particulate matter) such as dust, fumes, mist, and smoke. Glucose (sugar) readily dissolves in water, but because it does not dissociate into ions in solution, it is considered a nonelectrolyte; solutions containing glucose do not, therefore, conduct electricity. “nonelectrolyte.” A nonelectrolyte is a compound that does not conduct an electric current in either aqueous solution or in the molten state. Many molecular compounds, such as sugar or ethanol, are nonelectrolytes. When these compounds dissolve in water, they do not produce ions.

The presence of ions in liquid causes the flow of current. Current is defined as the rate of change of charge and ions are charged species. The ions carrying positive charge charge are called cations and those carrying negative charge are called anions. So when the ions present in a solution move, current flows in the solution.
