Process of conversion of fossil fuels into coal is called CARBONISATION

Zainab Shaikh 6 years, 4 months ago

The process of conversion of fossil fuels into coal is known as carbonosation.... And it is known as carbonosation because it is the pure form of carbon

Ayesha Khatua 6 years, 4 months ago

About 300 millions years ago the earth had dence forest in low lying wetland areas .Due to natural processes like flood in this forest buried under the soil ,as more soil deposit over them they were compressed ,the temperature also Rose as this and deeper and deeper, under high pressure and high temperature that plants got slowly converted to coal. As coal contains mainly carbon ,the slow process of conversation of dead vegetation into coal is known as carbonisation.so,coal is also a fossil fuel. It Is one of the fuel used to cook food in earlier it was used in railway engine to produce steam to run the engine. It is also used in thermal power plants to produce electricity.

Jahanvi Gupta 6 years, 4 months ago

Carbonization The carbonization process is very important in the preparation of AC as this process will determine the imprint effect on the final product. This is the reason why it is important to select the carbonization parameters in order to produce the required quality of the final AC. In the carbonization process, there are several parameters that would affect the structure, and one of these is carbonization temperature. Researchers usually carbonized samples in temperature range of 500–900°C. The samples will release greater amounts of volatiles when carbonized at high temperatures and eventually influence the product yield and porosity [36]. On the other hand, it is still depending on the properties of the starting raw material to react with the wide range of carbonization temperatures. Carbonization consists of two main steps: oxidative and nonoxidative pyrolysis

Yogita Ingle 6 years, 4 months ago

Carbonisation  is the term for the conversion of an organic substance into carbon  or a carbon-containing residue through pyrolysis or destructive distillation. It is often used in organic chemistry with reference to the generation of coal gas and coal tar from raw coal . Fossil fuels in general are the products of the carbonization of vegetable matter.

  1. Conservation preserves the ecological diversity and our life support systems - water, air and soil.
  2. It also preserves the genetic diversity of plants and animals for better growth of species and breeding.
  3. We humans along with all living organisms form a complex web of ecological system in which we are only a part and very much dependent on this system for our own existence.

Aastha Yadav 6 years, 3 months ago

All the component of the environment are interdependent. Any change in one component may affect all the other component . So , we need to conserve biodiversity for our survival and to maintain the natural ecological balance.

Wildlife is a precious gift of God to this planet. The term ‘wildlife’ not only caters to wild animals but also takes into account all undomesticated lifeforms including birds, insects, plants, fungi and even microscopic organisms. For maintaining a healthy ecological balance on this earth, animals, plants and marine species are as important as humans. Each organism on this earth has a unique place in food chain that helps contribute to the ecosystem in its own special way. But, sadly today, many of the animals and birds are getting endangered. The natural habitats of animals and plants are being destroyed for land development and farming by humans. Poaching and hunting of animals for fur, jewellery, meat and leather are other great factors contributing to wildlife extinction. If soon, no stringent steps are taken to save wildlife, it would not be long when they will find a place only on the list of extinct species. And that would not be all! The extinction of wildlife species will certainly have a fatal impact on human race as well. So, for us as humans, it becomes a great responsibility to save the wildlife, our planet and most importantly, our own selves.

The continuous process by which nitrogen is exchanged between organisms and the environment is called nitrogen cycle. Nitrogen is an essential nutrient, needed to make amino acids and other important organic compounds, but most organisms cannot use free nitrogen, which is abundant as a gas in the atmosphere.

The substances which undergo combustion are called combustible substances.

When a magnesium ribbon burns, it combines with oxygen of air to form magnesium oxide, and liberates heat and light. During this process of combustion, magnesium is a combustible substance.

If we hold a piece of charcoal with a pair of tongs and heat it on the flame of a burner, it starts burning to form carbon dioxide. In this process a lot of heat is produced but only a little light is produced.

In both the examples oxygen is necessary for combustion to take place. Air is the supporter of combustion because it contains oxygen.

As the velocity increases, the force of air in resistance to the object increases. As newton's 3rd law states, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Therefore, as the force of the object on the air increases, so does the force of the air on the object. When air resistance acts, acceleration during a fall will be less than g because air resistance affects the motion of the falling objects by slowing it down. Air resistance depends on two important factors - the speed of the object and its surface area. Increasing the surface area of an object decreases its speed.

When we want to open a door, we have to push the door handle with our hand and while closing it we pull the handle of the door. This means to move an object, it has either to be pushed or pulled. A push or pull on an object is called force.

An interaction of one object with another object results in a force between the two objects. At least two objects must interact for a force to come into play.  Suppose a man is standing behind a stationary car. Since there is no interaction between the man and the car, no force acts on the car and hence the car does not move. Now, suppose the man begins to push the car, that is, he applies a force on it. The car may begin to move in the direction of the applied force due to interaction between the man and the car. Note that the man has to push the car to make it move.

The objects having streamlined shapes face less friction when moving through a fluid than the objects which do not have streamlined shapes.

The fluid friction can be reduced by giving special shape called streamlined shape to the objects which move through the fluids. Cars are built with streamlined shape to reduce air resistance caused by air. An aeroplane has a streamlined shape to reduce air friction that it encounters when flying at high speed through the sky. The rockets are also built with streamlined shapes so that they encounter the minimum air resistance.
