About 300 million years ago the earth had dense forest in low lying wetland areas . Due to natural processes, like flooding, these forest got buried under the soil . Under high pressure and high temperature dead plants got slowly convected to coal . This process is called carbonisation

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 11 months ago

Coal was formed by the decomposition of large land plants and trees buried under the Earth about 300 million years ago.

About 300 million years ago, the Earth had dense forests in the low lying wet areas.

Due to natural calamities like earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, etc.  these forests got buried under the surface of the Earth.

As more soil got deposited on them, they were compressed.

As a result, the temperature also rose as they sank deeper and deeper.

Due to high pressure and temperature and the absence of air, the wood of the buried forest plants and trees slowly got converted into coal.

The slow process by which the dead plants buried under the Earth have become coal is called as carbonisation.

Since coal was formed from the remains of the plants, it is called a fossil fuel.

Coal, which is mainly carbon, on heating produces mainly carbon dioxide gas and a lot of heat energy.

Forces effect

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 11 months ago

Forces affect how objects move. They may cause motion; they may also slow, stop, or change the direction of motion of an object that is already moving. Since force cause changes in the speed or direction of an object, we can say that forces cause changes in velocity. Remember that acceleration is a change in velocity.

A red blood cell has what is known as a biconcave shape. They have obtained this shape because they lack nucleus. A fully mature RBC does not have its own nucleus. Hence its oxygen carrying capacity increases since it does not utilize to itself. Its shape also allows it to ''squeeze'' through narrow vessels and can enter even the thinnest capillaries around the body.

Complex organisms, such as human beings, animals, and plants, are much bigger in size and complex in structure and functions compared to a simple unicellular organism such as a bacterium. In the case of unicellular organisms, the transport of material to and from the environment can take place through the cell membrane. The cell, in case of unicellular organisms, is in direct contact with the environment and can exchange material easily as a result. In comparison, the complex organisms have a very large number of cells distributed throughout their body. Since they are away from the environment, it is very difficult for them to exchange anything with the environment. As a result, complex organisms need elaborate transport mechanisms consisting of organs (which are made up of tissues), tissues (which are made up of cells), and cells. This way, they ensure the cells receive nutrients and can get rid of wastes, in order to survive and function properly.

The three main subatomic particles that form an atom are protons, neutrons, and electrons. The center of the atom is called the nucleus. First, let's learn a bit about protons and neutrons, and then we will talk about electrons a little later. Protons and neutrons make up the nucleus of an atom.

???Mansu ??? ?Raj? 5 years, 11 months ago

A subatomic particle is a unit of matter or energy that's the fundamental makeup of all matter. According to modern atomic theory, an atom has a nucleus, which is its center, or core. The nucleus contains subatomic particles: protons and neutrons. Protons are positively-charged particles

Metals

Non-metals

1) They form basic oxides.

1) They form acidic or neutral oxides.

2) They displace hydrogen from dilute acids.

2) They don't displace hydrogen from dilute acids.

3) Usually they don't combine with hydrogen. Only a few reactive
metals combine with hydrogen to form metal hydroxide which are
electrovalent compounds.

3) They react with hydrogen to form hydrides which are covalent compounds.

4) They form chlorides which are electrovalent compounds.

4) They react with chlorine to form chlorides which are covalent compounds.

5) Metals react with water to produce metal oxide (or metal hydroxide) and hydrogen gas. 5) Non-metals do not react with water.
