The series of metals arranged in the decreasing order of their reactivity is called the activity or reactivity series.
The most reactive metal is placed at the top, and the least reactive one is placed at the bottom of the series.
Metals above hydrogen may displace hydrogen from water and dilute acids, but the metals below hydrogen cannot displace hydrogen.
The metal which has more reactive than hydrogen (K, Na, Fe...etc)then they displace hydrogen from dilute acids. 2HCl + 2Na → 2NaCl + H2 gas released

Pollution is the introduction of substances (or energy) that cause adverse changes in the environment and living entities .
Pollution need not always be caused by chemical substances such as particulates (like smoke and dust). Forms of energy such as sound, heat or light can also cause pollution. These substances that cause pollution are called pollutants.

In simplest terms, a meteorite is a rock that falls to Earth from space. Meteorites are rocks, but they are not like Earth rocks. Most are far older, and they provide some of the only samples we have of other worlds – other planets, asteroids and possibly comets – in our solar system. Some meteorites even contain tiny particles that formed around other stars that existed before our Sun.

In the process of electroplating of copper on a metallic spoon, the iron spoon is made the cathode. A thin sheet of pure copper is made the cathode. When electricity is passed through the solution, Cu2+ ion moves towards the cathode and get reduced to copper metal. This copper metal gets electroplated on the object, i.e, metallic spoon.
The sulphate ion moves towards the anode. Here the sulphate ions do not get oxidised. Instead, the copper metal of the anode gets oxidised to Cu2+ ions. These copper ions go into the solution.

The band of coloured components of a light beam is called its spectrum.
The sequence of colours given by the prism is Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red. VIBGYOR is the acronym for this sequence.
The cause of dispersion is that different colours of white light with different wavelengths undergo different deviations on passing through a glass prism.

Iodine is usually used in an alcohol solution (called tincture of iodine) or as Lugol's iodine solution as a pre- and postoperative antiseptic. Some studies do not recommend disinfecting minor wounds with iodine because of concern that it may induce scar tissue formation and increase healing time. he great advantage of iodine antiseptics is their wide scope of antimicrobial activity, killing all principal pathogens and, given enough time, even spores, which are considered to be the most difficult form of microorganisms to be inactivated by disinfectants and antiseptics.
