Sowing is the process of planting seeds. In sowing, generally little soil is placed over the seeds.
Sowing can be Hand sowing or (planting) in which handfuls of seed are cast over prepared ground. However mostly seed are sown using seed drill. It offers greater precision; seed is sown evenly and at the desired rate. The drill also places the seed at a measured distance below the soil, so that less seed is required.

Weeding is the process to remove out the weeds. Weeds are unwantedvplants which grown along the useful crops. Weeding is required because weeds are competitive plants as they reduce the useful crop yield by acquiring space, fertilizers and nutrients from the soil.

Yeasts have a wide range of applications mainly in food industry (wine making, brewing, distilled spirits production, and baking) and in biomass production (single-cell protein [SCP]). More recently, yeast has also been used in the biofuel industry and for the production of heterologous compounds.

Characteristics of Viruses
- They do not have an organized cell structure.
- They have no cell nucleus.
- They typically have one or two strands of DNA or RNA.
- They are covered with a protective coat of protein called the CAPSID.
- They are inactive when not inside a living cell, but are active when inside another living cell.

The Resultant force is defined as the total force acting on a body along with their directions. When the object is at rest or travelling with the same velocity, the resultant force has to be zero. Since all the forces are acting towards the same direction, the resultant force should be same for all the forces.
If one force is acting perpendicular to another, the resultant force is determined by using Pythagorean theorem. The Resultant force formula is given by,
FR = F1 + F2 + F3
Where,
F1, F2, F3 are the forces acting in the same direction on a body.
If force F2 is perpendicular to force F1, the resultant force formula is given as,

- The role of microorganisms in food preparation and beverage manufacturing is known for ages. They are used in the manufacture of bread, curd, wine, and alcohol etc.
- Bacteria are not only present outside the human body, but they also live inside the body too. This aggregate collection of microorganisms that is present on the human body is termed as Microflora.
- Antibiotics go hand in hand with microbes in the medical field. Typically, antibiotics are obtained from a weakened form of an otherwise harmful microorganism. This is then injected into the body and the body learns to fight off the diseases caused by these organisms. Examples of this include mumps and the measles.
- In the environment, microorganisms have two vital roles- one is an enhancement of soil fertility another is cleaning. Azotobacter, Rhizobium, Clostridium are few examples of Nitrogen-fixing bacteria which play a primary role in transforming atmospheric nitrogen into inorganic compounds which are then used by the plants. Without this process, the vast majority of the nitrogen present in the atmosphere becomes unusable.

To find the valency of an element, it is absolute that we must know the atomic number of that element.
For example, for the element Carbon
the atomic number is 6
Convert into electronic configuration:. 2, 4
Consider the final shell alone. Here 4 so Subtract 4 from 8
the answer is 4.
Thus, the Valency is 4
For elements with valence electrons 4 and <n4 the Valency is the valence number itself. For example Lithium the valence shell is 1. So Valency is 1️
For elements with valence electrons >4, subtract it from number 8. For example Fluorine the Valency is 2,7 and the valence shell numner is 7. Subtracting from 8 we get 1. so Valency is 1
For elements in the Oxygen group, it is not the same. For example Oxygen has 2,6 . But the valence can be 6 or 2 according to the situation.

Plastic is non-biodegradable.So the articles made of plastics do not rot when they are thrown away after use.The waste plastic articles keeps on accumulating in the surrounding and pollute the environment.
The waste plastic articles thrown here and there carelessly get into dirty water drains and sewers, and clog them. This makes the dirty drain water to flow over the streets and roads causing unhygienic conditions.

Microbes are also used to prepare antibiotics, which are used to treat several bacterial infections. Antibiotics are chemical substances that kill disease-causing microbes. It is quite interesting to find that there are some microbes which cause diseases; on the other hand, some other microbes help in preparation of antibiotics, and thus, cure diseases.

Metal oxides are a chemical compound formed between metals, specifically cations such as Na, K, Li, etc., and oxygen. These formations tend to be solid, basic and are more dense than their nonmetallic oxide counterparts. Metal oxides typically contain an anion of oxygen in the oxidation state of −2.

Vegetative propagation is defined as the production of new plants from the vegetative plant parts like leaf, stem, roots of the parent plant. In ginger, the vegetative propagation occurs through the underground stem called rhizome. A rhizome is an underground horizontal stem, with stored foods and buds. Manufactured foods are transported down to enable the growth of the rhizome. The lower portion of the rhizome develops roots and helps in the conduction of water and minerals.
