Bacteria are classified as prokaryotes because they lack a nucleus and membrane-bound organelles. Bacteria are examples of the prokaryotic cell type. In general, prokaryotic cells are those that do not have a membrane-bound nucleus. In fact "pro-karyotic" is Greek for "before nucleus". Besides bacteria, the cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) are a major group of prokaryotes. Prokaryotes are unicellular organisms that lack organelles or other internal membrane-bound structures. Therefore, they do not have a nucleus, but, instead, generally have a single chromosome: a piece of circular, double-stranded DNA located in an area of the cell called the nucleoid.

  1. When a person reaches puberty, he or she becomes an adolescent. Adolescence continues up to the age of 18 or 19 years. During adolescence, a boy or a girl reaches mental, intellectual and emotional maturity. Adolescence is a period of change in a person's way of thinking. Adolescents are more independent than before and are also self conscious. Intellectual development takes place and they tend to spend considerable time thinking. In fact, it is often the time in one's life when the brain has the greatest capacity for learning. Sometimes, an adolescent may feel insecure while trying to adjust to the changes in the body and mind. The changes which occur in the body of boys and girls may cause emotional swings which show intense feelings like joy, anger, boredom, worries or sadness which are not based on reasoning or knowledge. These changes are a natural part of growing up process.

The first method is preparation of soil. The preparation of soil is divided into three steps. the first step is turning soil which allows organisms to come out from the soil and decompose the dead and decaying matter. The second step of preparation of soil is known as loosening soil. Loosening soil allows roots to grow deeper and absorb nutrients and water from soil. It also allows roots to breathe easily and also helps in the aeration of soil. The last step of preparation of soil is breaking large crumbs of soil. Crumbs are the big pieces of soil.

Storms are created when a center of low pressure develops with the system of high pressure surrounding it. This combination of opposing forces can create winds and result in the formation of storm clouds. Thunderstorms develop when the air is unstable, which is caused when there is a layer of warm air near the ground hovering underneath a layer of much colder air. Storms are more common in the summer when the days are longer, as there are more sunshine and therefore more energy.

  •  Stop using plastic straws, even in restaurants. If a straw is a must, purchase a reusable stainless steel or glass straw
  • Use a reusable produce bag. A single plastic bag can take 1,000 years to degrade. Purchase or make your own reusable produce bag and be sure to wash them often!
  • Give up gum. Gum is made of a synthetic rubber, aka plastic.
  • Buy boxes instead of bottles. Often, products like laundry detergent come in cardboard which is more easily recycled than plastic.
  • Purchase food, like cereal, pasta, and rice from bulk bins and fill a reusable bag or container. You save money and unnecessary packaging.
  • Reuse containers for storing leftovers or shopping in bulk.
  • Use a reusable bottle or mug for your beverages, even when ordering from a to-go shop
  • Bring your own container for take-out or your restaurant doggy-bag since many restaurants use styrofoam.
  • Use matches instead of disposable plastic lighters or invest in a refillable metal lighter.
  • Avoid buying frozen foods because their packaging is mostly plastic. Even those that appear to be cardboard are coated in a thin layer of plastic. Plus you'll be eating fewer processed foods!
  • Don't use plasticware at home and be sure to request restaurants do not pack them in your take-out box.
  • Ask your local grocer to take your plastic containers (for berries, tomatoes, etc.) back. If you shop at a farmers market they can refill it for you.

Oxides typically react with acids or bases, sometimes both. ... Metals tend to form basic oxides, non-metals tend to form acidic oxides, and amphoteric oxides are formed by elements near the boundary between metals and non-metals (metalloids). An oxide layer is a thin layer or coating of an oxide, such as iron oxide. Such a coating may be protective, decorative or functional. It is a passivating layer on the surface of the metal, preventing further corrosion. Oxidation is any chemical reaction that involves the moving of electrons. ... When iron reacts with oxygen it forms a chemical called rust because it has been oxidized (the iron has lost some electrons) and the oxygen has been reduced (the oxygen has gained some electrons).
