Aryan Raj 5 years, 3 months ago

Chemical changes occur when a substance combines with another to form a new substance, called chemical synthesis or, alternatively, chemical decomposition into two or more different substances. These processes are called chemical reactions and, in general, are not reversible except by further chemical reactions.

A bar chart or bar graph is a chart or graph that presents categorical data with rectangular bars with heights or lengths proportional to the values that they represent. The bars can be plotted vertically or horizontally. A vertical bar chart is sometimes called a column chart.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 3 months ago

A bar graph is a representation of numbers using bars of uniform width and the lengths of the bars depend upon the frequency and the scale you have chosen.

It is a method of representing data visually. In the case of bar graph or bar diagram, Bars of uniform width are drawn horizontally or vertically with equal spacing between them and then the length of each bar represents the given number.

Reading of thermometer and measuring of temperature: Take a clinical thermometer and hold it horizontally with reading scale towards your eye. Do not hold the thermometer from the bulb. Rotate the thermometer slightly clockwise and anticlockwise. By doing this you will see a shiny thin silvery thread. The end of the silvery thread shows the reading of temperature. If mercury lining ends at 37, the reading is 37°C. Wash the bulb end of thermometer with an antiseptic solution. Give two or three jerks slightly. By doing this the mercury level would fall. When it falls to 35°C or below, put it below the tongue and wait for one minute. Take out the thermometer and read the temperature. Temperature would be near 37°C. The normal body temperature is 37°C. This can differ from person to person.

HCl in the lumen doesnt digest the mucosa because goblet cells in the mucosa secrete large quantities of protective mucus that line the mucosal surface. Basic electrolytes, such as HCO3-, trapped inside the layer of mucus neutralize any HCl that penetrates the mucus. The acidic gastric juice also kills bacteria. The mucus covers the stomach wall with a protective coating. Together with the bicarbonate, this ensures that the stomach wall itself is not damaged by the hydrochloric acid.

A Clinical Thermometer is designed to measure human body temperature only. The temperature of body does not get below 35°C or above 42°C this is the reason why the clinical thermometer has a short temperature range from 35°C or 42°C. In clinical thermometers, there is a small bent at the bottom of the tube containing mercury. ... The kink prevents the mercury level from falling down on its own. Due to this, the temperature does not decrease immediately after removing the thermometer from the mouth.

Ans. Similarities:(i) Both clinical and laboratory thermometers have long, narrow, uniform glass tubes.(ii) The bulbs of both the thermometers have mercury in them.Differences:(i) The temperature range of clinical thermometers is from 35 degree C to 42 degree C while that of laboratory thermometer is from −10 degree C to 110 degree C.(ii) Clinical thermometer is used to measure the temperature of a human body. However, laboratory thermometer cannot be used to measure the temperature of a human body.(iii) The least count of both the thermometers differs.(iv) Unlike clinical thermometer that can be tilted, laboratory thermometer is kept upright while reading the temperature values.
