Physical changes involve states of matter and energy. No new substance is created during a physical change, although the matter takes a different form. The size, shape, and color of matter may change. Also, physical changes occur when substances are mixed but don't chemically react. For example crushing a can, melting an ice cube ,boiling water etc.
Chemical change involves formation of a new chemical species. A change in the chemical properties of the sample may indicate a chemical change (e.g., flammability, oxidation state).

Villi: The small intestine has millions of tiny finger like projections called villi. These villi increase the surface area for more efficient food absorption. Within these villi, are present numerous blood vessels which absorb the digested food and carry it to the blood stream. Hence from the blood stream, the absorbed food is delivered to each and every cell of the body.
