Physical Changes in Burning Candle: On heating, candle wax melts and form liquid wax. It  is a physical change. Since it again turns into solid wax on cooling. This is a reversible change.
Chemical Changes in Burning Candle: When you light the candle, the wax present near the wick will melt. Wick absorbs the liquid wax. The liquid wax vaporizes due the heat produced by the flame. This wax vapor near to flame burns and gives new substances like Carbon Dioxide, Carbon soot, water vapours, heat and light. This is an irreversible change.

We get silk from silk worm. Silk fiber is obtained from the cocoons of the silk moth. The silk moth lives on the leaves of mulberry plants. There are four stages in the life cycle of silk moth: eggs, larva, pupa and adult. The larva of the silk moth is called caterpillar. It secretes a sticky fluid fibroin from its salivary gland (silk gland). This sticky fluid forms a long thread. This thread is wrapped around the body of the caterpillar and forms cocoon. After this stage, the larva becomes a pupa and then turns into an adult moth. Silk is a costly fabric. Silk fiber is used for weaving cloth; especially traditional dresses in India; like sari, kurta, shawl and other wedding clothes. Silk had always been prized for its luster and fine quality.

The following are some of the probable limitations of Green Revolution.
1. Rise in the Inequality: The program was based on the use of certain key inputs such as the HYV seeds, chemical fertilisers, irrigation facilities, etc. The big farmers could easily afford such inputs and thereby, could reap the benefits of the program. On the other hand, the small and marginal farmers who could not afford such inputs suffered. Consequently, the gap between the big and the small farmers would increase.
2. Vulnerability to Pest: The HYV crops were found to be more prone to pests. Thus, the vulnerability of the poor farmers dependent on this technology in terms of finance increased.
3. The Green Revolution cannot therefore be considered to be a 100 percent success Nobel Laureate Borlaug complains that the higher yields of the miracle seeds were meant to give the underdeveloped nations some time to reduce their population growth and begin upgrading their citizens' nutrition. Instead, he says, "Our efforts to buy time have been frittered away because political leaders in developing nations have refused to come to grips with the population monster."

The process by which heat is transferred from the hotter parts of a liquid to its colder parts by the movement of the liquid itself is known as convection. For e.g. water is a good convector. Hence, when two bodies are kept in contact heat flows from a body at higher temperature to a body at lower temperature.

Igneous and sedimentary rocks deep below the Earth’s surface are buried under the huge weight of the rocks, sediments and soil above them. They are also subjected to high temperatures. The temperature increases by about 25°C for every kilometer below the surface. This heat and pressure can change the composition and appearance of the minerals in rocks. The process of change in the rocks is called metamorphism and the rocks that are formed by these changes are called metamorphic rocks.
Metamorphic rocks are formed when other rocks are changed due to heat or pressure. Examples include slate and marble. Metamorphic rocks are very hard but can be damaged by acids like acid rain (on buildings) or even lemon juice.

All plants and animals require food for their growth and getting energy. The process of utilization of food by an animal to obtain energy for growth and development is known as nutrition. Plants make their food themselves but animals cannot. Hence, animals depend directly or indirectly on the plant.
Mode of nutrition
Autotrophic Nutrition : Auto means self and trophos means nourishment. Plants are called autotrophs because they make their food themselves. The making of food for themselves is called the Autotrophic nutrition. Autotrophic nutrition is found in green plants, and in some bacteria.
Heterotrophic Nutrition: The word Heterotrophic is the combination of two words i.e. Hetero + Trophos. Hetero means ‘others’ and ‘trophos’ means nourishment. If organisms depend on others for their food, such a mode of nutrition is called Hetetrophic Nutrition.

Copper is good conductor of heat as compare to stainless steel. Hence it (Copper<wbr />) can heat early as compare to stainless steel. That’s why, use of utensils having copper bottoms requires less time for cooking. So, stainless steel pans are usually provided with copper bottoms.

The solar system is made up of the sun, its planets, satellites, asteroids, comets, dwarf planets, etc. All other members of the solar system keep on revolving around the sun. This is possible because of the gravitational attraction between the sun and these bodies. The solar system is 4.6 billion years old.

Nutrition is the process of taking food by an organism and utilization of food for energy. This is a vital process which helps living beings to obtain their energy from various sources. Nutrients are the substances which provide nutrition. All living organisms need nutrients for proper functioning and growth. The making of food for themselves is called the Autotrophic nutrition. If organisms depend on others for their food, such a mode of nutrition is called Hetetrophic Nutrition. The uptake of nutrients by organism from dead and decaying matter in the form of solution is called the saprotrophic nutrition.
