Mode of nutrition
Autotrophic Nutrition: Auto means self and trophos means nourishment. Plants are called autotrophs because they make their food themselves. The making of food for themselves is called the Autotrophic nutrition. Autotrophic nutrition is found in green plants, and in some bacteria.
Heterotrophic Nutrition: The word Heterotrophic is the combination of two words i.e. Hetero + Trophos. Hetero means ‘others’ and ‘trophos’ means nourishment. If organisms depend on others for their food, such a mode of nutrition is called Hetetrophic Nutrition. Animals cannot make their food themselves. They depend for food upon plants. Therefore, nutrition in animals is called Hetetrophic Nutrition. Animals are known as Heterotrophs.
Saprotrophic Nutrition:The uptake of nutrients by organism from dead and decaying matter in the form of solution is called the saprotrophic nutrition. The organisms which use saprotrophic mode of nutrition are called saprotrophs. For example: fungi.

Foam is a type of colloid in which gas is the dispersed phase and solid is the dispersed medium. Foams containing surfactants sodium alkyl sulfate, prfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) etc.. are used as foam type fire extinguisher.
The container of soda acid fire extinguisher holds a sodium bicarbonate solution. The screw-on cap contains a plunger mechanism which is covered by a safety guard. Below the plunger is a glass phial containing sulphuric acid. When the plunger is struck, the glass phial is broken and the acid and sodium bicarbonate mix together. The resulting chemical reaction produces carbon dioxide gas which pressurises the space above the liquid forcing it out through the internal pipe to the nozzle.

The creation of hydroelectric power starts when water, its potential source of energy, is trapped in dams. These dams are much thicker at the bottom because the flow of water increases in depth. As water flows through the dams, creating kinetic energy, the turbines start to activate the generator producing electrical energy. Electricity is sent through wires to our homes, passing two or three transformers, reducing the voltage of electricity.
