We take in air through our nostrils. When we inhale air, it passes through our nostrils into the nasal cavity. From the nasal cavity, the air reaches our lungs through the trachea. Lungs are present in the chest cavity. This cavity is surrounded by ribs on the sides. A large, muscular sheet called diaphragm forms the floor of the chest cavity.
Breathing involves the movement of the diaphragm and the rib cage. Breathing involves two steps:
During inhalation, ribs move up and outwards and diaphragm moves down. This movement increases space in our chest cavity and air rushes into the lungs. The lungs get filled with air. The muscles between the ribs contract causing the rib cage to move upward and outward.
During exhalation, ribs move down and inwards, while diaphragm moves up to its former position. This reduces the size of the chest cavity and air is pushed out of the lungs. As the chest cavity becomes smaller air is pushed out from the lungs. Take a deep breath. Keep your palm on the abdomen, feel the movement of abdomen.

Enzymes are proteins with catalytic capabilities that are essential for maintaining the various activities of life. Metabolic processes in the cell are carried out by enzymes that are necessary to sustain life. At the initial stage of the process upon which enzymes reacts on a molecule is called substrates. Enzymes convert these into other distinct molecules that are called products. Metabolic paths occurring in the cells are determined by a set of enzymes.

The storm with thunder and lightning is called thunderstorms. It is accompanied by heavy rains or hail. Thunderstorms develop in hot humid tropical areas like India very frequently. The rising temperatures produce strong upward rising winds. These winds carry water droplets upwards, where they freeze and fall down again. The swift movement of the falling water droplets along with the rising air creates lightning and sound. Thunderstorms are produced by the dark clouds which form at fairly low altitude in the atmosphere.
