Vinegar is chemically acetic acid and its chemical formula is CH3COOH. Baking soda, on the other hand is sodium bicarbonate, which is a mild base. Its chemical formula is NaHCO3 . Hence, when baking soda is added to vinegar, neutralisation reaction takes place and sodium acetate is formed along with water and carbon dioxide. Following is the chemical equation for the reaction
CH3COOH + NaHCO3  → CH3COONa + H2O + CO2

The process of deriving large crystals of pure substances from their solutions is known as crystallisation. It is a physical change. Crystals of salt are obtained by the evaporation of sea water.

Similarly crystals of copper sulphate can be obtained by adding copper sulphate powder to the boiling solution of water and dilute sulphuric acid. This mixture when filtered and allowed to cool produces crystals of copper sulphate.

Amoeba is a unicellular organism where single cell performs all the processes like nutrition, respiration, excretion, reproduction etc. The process of procuring food is called as nutrition. Amoeba extends its pseudopodia when the food is found. Pseudopodium just wraps around the food molecule and forms a food vacuole around it. Inside the food molecule lot of digestive enzymes are secreted to break and digest the food molecule into smaller absorbable substances.

Those reactions in which two compounds react by an exchange of ions to form two new compounds are called double displacement reactions.

Example: AgNO3 (aq) + NaCl (aq)   AgCl (s)+ NaNO3 (aq)

When silver nitrate solution is added to sodium chloride solution, then a white precipitate of silver chloride is formed alongwith sodium nitrate solution. In this reaction, two compounds, silver nitrate and sodium chloride, react to form two new compounds,, silver chloride and sodium nitrate.

Cyclone is formed over tropical seas. Winds from opposite directions meet. This air is heated by the warm seas and so evaporates moisture from the ocean. This warm air rises up rapidly, cools and condenses to form clouds and produces an area of very low pressure. When moisture and air mix, it makes a collection of thunderstorms from which a cyclone can develop.
In summer, the air rises up along with lot of moisture. After rising up to a certain height water vapour cools down and starts coming down in the form of water droplets. The swift drifting of water droplets creates electricity among clouds. This manifests in the form of lighting and sound. This is known as thunderstorm.

As the plane accelerates down the runway, what’s actually being established is airflow over the wings. The wings have an “aerofoil” shape, and the upper surface causes the air that passes over the top to go a greater distance than the air that passes below. This creates a lower pressure above the wing, and a greater pressure below the wing. Thus the wing is lifted upwards. This principle is called Bernoulli’s principle.
