The neuron consists of 3 parts:
- The Cyton or Cell body - It contains a central nucleus and cytoplasm with deeply stained particles called Nissl’s granules.
- Dendrites - The dendrons are short processes arising from the cyton and branches into dendrites.
- Axon - It is a single, long cylindrical process which forms fine branches terminally. It has a swollen structure at its end called synaptic knob or bouton. It is also termed as the nerve fibre.

The range of a laboratory thermometer is generally from – 10 degree Celsius to 110 degree Celsius. The laboratory thermometer should be held vertically while measuring temperature. The thermometer bulb should be surrounded from all sides by the substance whose temperature is to be measured and the level of mercury should be kept along the line of sight.

The excretory system removes metabolic wastes from the body.
The major organs of excretion are the kidneys, a pair of bean-shaped organs located below the liver. The kidneys filter blood and regulate water balance in the body.
The skin, which removes excess water and salt via sweat, the lungs, which exhale carbon dioxide, and the liver, which breaks down toxic substances in the blood and convert nitrogenous waste into urea.
The human circulatory system is mainly composed of three main components. These are the heart, blood vessels, and blood. Let us now look at these components in further detail.
The circulatory system is made up of blood vessels that carry blood away from and towards the heart. Arteries carry blood away from the heart and veins carry blood back to the heart.
The circulatory system carries oxygen, nutrients, and hormones to cells, and removes waste products, like carbon dioxide.

Forests have perennial trees of Sal, Sheesham, Teak, Banyan, Neem, Peepal, Bamboo, etc.
A forest has annual, biennial and perennial plants. Herbs are mostly annuals with a life span of one year. Biennials have a life span of two years whereas perennials can survive for several years. These include shrubs and trees.
The trees produce enough seeds and the forest floor provides favourable conditions for them to germinate and develop into seedlings.

In this situation, a very large current can occur, producing a lot of heat and a fire hazard. If a short circuit occurs—or even if too many appliances get hooked up to one wire so that too much current flows—the wire in the fuse heats up quickly and melts, breaking the circuit and preventing a fire from starting. An overcurrent occurs when the current exceeds the rated amperage capacity of that circuit or of the connected equipment (such as an appliance) on that circuit. An overcurrent can be caused by overloading the circuit or by a short circuit, a ground fault, or an arc fault.

Forests are an important renewable natural resource. They are useful in the following ways:
- Plants purify air by utilizing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. They also maintain a balance between oxygen and carbon dioxide and prevent global warming on earth.
- They provide food to wild animals directly or indirectly. Herbivores eat plants and carnivores prey upon herbivores.
- They provide useful materials like firewood, timber, bamboo, wood for paper, gum, resin, fibre, honey, bee wax, bidi leaf, etc. They also provide spices like black pepper, cardamom, cinchona, cinnamon, etc.
