Digestion of fats and proteins in humans:

Fats - The process of digestion of fats begins in the stomach. The glands of stomach secrete a small amount of gastric lipase that breaks down the fats present in the food. From the stomach the partially digested food goes into small intestine where the pancreatic lipase breaks down the emulsified fats. The walls of small intestine secrete intestinal juice which converts the fats into fatty acids and glycerol.

Proteins - The digestion of proteins begins in the stomach. The glands of the stomach secrete gastric juice which contains an enzyme called pepsin. Pepsin converts the proteins into peptones. Pancreatic juice contains trypsin which digests the proteins into peptides and the intestinal juice completes the process of digestion of proteins thus converting it into amino acids.

Compound

  • Compound are substances which are formed by chemically combining two or more elements.
  • Compounds are three types which are covalent compounds, metallic compounds and ionic compounds.
  • Compounds fall under pure substances.
  • The chemical composition of compounds is always fixed.
  • The constituents of a compound can only be separated by either chemical or electrochemical methods(like extraction).

Mixtures

  • Mixtures are substances that are formed by physically mixing two or more substances.
  • Mixtures are mainly of two types i.e. homogenous mixtures and heterogeneous mixtures.
  • Mixtures fall under impure substances.
  • A mixture can have a variable composition of the substances forming it.

First, adding more acid releases more heat, as it is exothermic. If you add water to acid it forms an extremely concentrated solution of acid initially. So much heat is released that the solution may boil very violently, splashing concentrated acid out of the container and all this because the reaction is exothermic.
