1 km = 1000 m; 1 hr = 3600 sec.
{tex}1 km/hr = 1000/3600 m/sec = 5/18 m/sec{/tex}
To convert km/hr into m/sec, multiply the number by 5 and then divide it by 18.
72 km/hr = (72) 5/18 = 4 (5) =20 m/s
