The three heat zones of the Earth are
- Torrid Zone
- Temperate Zone
- Frigid Zone
Torrid Zone: The torrid zone receives the maximum amount of heat as it is present between the two latitudes the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. The sun comes exactly over the head once a year, on all the latitudes between these two tropics.
Temperate Zone: The area or the region between the two latitudesTropic of Cancer and the arctic circle or between the Tropic of Capricorn and the antarctic circle is called temperate zone.
Frigid Zone: The specific area or region between the arctic circle and the north pole or between the antarctic circle and the south pole is called as frigid zone.

All hot bodies emit heat by the process of radiation. Radiation of heat does not require a medium. Sunlight comes to the earth because of radiation as there is no medium present between the atmosphere of the earth and the sun.
One can feel the heat of bonfire by standing around it. We get warmth from the room heater because of radiation.
