Step 1: Begin with the decimal fraction and multiply by 2. The whole number part of the result is the first binary digit to the right of the point. Because . 1 x 2 = 0.
An easy method of converting decimal to binary number equivalents is to write down the decimal number and to continually divide-by-2 (two) to give a result and a remainder of either a “1” or a “0” until the final result equals zero. So for example. Convert the decimal number 29410 into its binary number equivalent.

The addition and subtraction of the binary number system are similar to that of the decimal number system. When we added the one's column of the binary digit (i.e., 7+4) we get the number which is greater than the base of the decimal number (the base of the number is 10 and the sum of the digit is 11).

As in decimal system, the multiplication of binary numbers is carried out by multiplyingthe multiplicand by one bit of the multiplier at a time and the result of the partial product for each bit is placed in such a manner that the LSB is under the corresponding multiplier bit
